Last night, it looked like LSU got beaten up pretty good in the second half. Nussmeier took some big hits and it looked like one of their starting offensive linemen got injured.

And Nuss got all the interceptions out of his system last night. He’ll look like Tom Brady in 2 weeks.

It looks like their starting Left Guard had tightrope surgery for a high ankle strain following the A&M game. He has a history of being able to play with pain, so he'll likely play in the Bama game.

LSU is not a very good defense again this year. They're not all-time bad like their 2023 defense but they are not leagues better either.

If you can Establish It, they can be gashed on the ground. They didn't really handle Sellers or Reed very well as QB runners. Reed is a smooth RPO guy unlike Milroe but Sellers is more like Milroe and he still gave them fits when he was on the field.

The crowd noise will be a factor to their advantage unlike the USC and TAMU games but not much the fans can do about getting pushed around after the ball is snap. Getting to that point without a litany of procedural penalties getting them off schedule is the key.

Big that their OG is out. They seemed discombobulated without him.

We're not an elite defense and sometimes we've been quite bad. However it seems encouraging that Nussmeier is a bit of a chucker and it only gets worse when he's heated up in the pocket. From what I know about Wommack's approach, that sounds like a favorable situation for us. Of course, if he's chucking to guys who have cooked our DBs so bad it doesn't matter...then maybe not so much.

Didn't really watch the ole miss game but it seems they contained Ole Miss well. Anyone watch and see some things we should be concerned about?

Tre Harris got injured against LSU. He is the best wide receiver on the Ole Miss roster. That played a role in the loss.

They had 464 yards of offense.

They also had a missed fg from the 15, a failed 4th down attempt at the LSU 4 yard line, a drive that got to the LSU 20 before 2 penalties put them back at the 35 and then Dart threw an INT, and fumbled at their own 25 yard line. They shot themselves in the foot a bunch. Unfortunately that sounds familiar to us, but hopefully we have turned a corner on execution.

As far as the LSU offense, Nuss has thrown 7 interceptions in his last 4 games. If we can get him uncomfortable he will throw some dumb passes.

It’s possible but his track record in tough road environments is not promising.

Also hasn't played a rush defense this bad since... the last time he played LSU. Hopefully the game plan is an obvious one and not the one we saw against Tennessee.

He actually has only started in a few big time road environments.

2023 A&M - Played well, made some big time plays to ice the game
2023 AU - Played well besides a couple of boneheaded plays, and came through in one of the most pressure packed situations possible.
2024 UT-Played bad

Not sure I saw the save have you did the only argument could be that center snapping was sooo bad it affected QB play. But two penalties due being beyond the line of scrimmage
