and Vanderbilt lost to Mizzou!

They have UF and UK at home, and Arkansas on the road, before going to A&M.

How did they land this schedule?!

Just let that sink in....Vanderbilt is the best team Texas has beaten.

It is true

BUT

They are finally in their SEC schedule and everyone gonna find out that this team is still a Big 12 team in nature. Been saying it all year. But been patiently waiting for their SEC scretch to begin.

Arkansas is a loss for sure.

How dare you disrespect Michigan and Oklahoma. Sure their ceiling is probably 5 to 7 wins but they’re brand names.

The bigger question is how the hell did you guys avoid Tennessee, Alabama, and georgia? I thought our schedule was easy but you basically have a big 12 schedule.
Then again as bad as our offensive is right now that came in College Station probably isn't going to matter because we're probably going to drop another game or two before then.

While our best quarterback rides the bench

Damn. The truth!

Look, Texas can absolutely win out.

I just do not think Sark has the team and team culture prepared for an entire SEC season. Hints of that have shown up.

It starts in the weight room and the psychological side so it isn't something you just develop mid-season.

Not throwing shade. Just think it is an accurate perspective on their program as a 1st year SEC school with poor Big 12 performances recently.

And watch out what you ask for in Manning unless you are focused on developing for NEXT year. I think there is more downside to upside playing him right now. Sark would screw himself.

Funny, I was just looking at your schedule. So therefore I see this is not a serious thread.

Your opponent next week, USCe, will be the *best* team you have faced so far.

Y’all lost to ND….

You beat a decent LSU team on a gimmick. You benched the Qb they prepped for all week to play your backup. That won’t work on any other teams, they’ll prep for both QBs.

Gimmick team.

No they can’t. Ewers has regressed, the O line has regressed and Sark doesn’t adjust. The DC is crap, but it’s masqueraded by exceptionally good players. I expect a close game and maybe a loss at PIG, and a loss at aggy.

And a trip to Shreveport for the bowl game.

All said from a jealous Texas fan while A&M clearly leads the SEC. Keep chirping little bird.

You will learn you have a very good OC but not a very good HC. Everyone is overlooking this issue regardless of how good your player ratings are. Sark is NOT a developer of talent. A lot of flash though.

Y’all brought in your backup vs Georgia to try the same “gimmick”…

And still got your arse rolled at home!

Texas OL is a good group on paper but was not SEC ready. Texas defense can SEC all day long.

I wanted y’all to win that game. Texas now controls its own destiny. As long as y’all stay undefeated in SEC play, that whooping we hand out November 30th will put us in second place if not first.

Kirby said he prepped for Arch…

Also the gap between Georgia and LSU is large.

The Texas OL is fat and slow. The Georgia DL just ran around them for 7 sacks and 2 strip fumbles.

Don’t think we do. A three way tie between UGA/Texas/A&M would come down to combined winning percentage of conference opponents. That could break in our favor but likely wouldn’t.

Us getting to 7-1 doesn’t seem too likely either.

Edit: could be wrong actually, UGA would be placed first then our h2h would come into play,

As has been said before, Texas got the benefit of their schedule because of how they’ve been the last ten years. Only 2023 was their best championship caliber year in that stretch.

Oklahoma in the last ten years saw way more success than Texas with the exception of 2023. This is why OU got a harder schedule.

Local media confirmed this with SEC officials in charge of scheduling during media days. Not that it would have mattered; OU would still have crapped the bed with the Horns’ schedule.
