Seems like their defense is much improved and our offense has declined. Nuss is a dang good qb...how do they keep getting elite qb play? Milroe struggled at Tennessee with all the crowd noise...just wait until he has to endure all the Cajun drunks, at night.
I just don't know man...tell me how we can compete with them.

Milroe plays better at night than during the day, regardless of venue.

It doesn't look good considering now bad the secondary has been this year.

Plus the amount of pressure LSU generates compared to our porous o line. Add in that's a road game.

Seems like a very bad matchup for us

Milroe has been pretty bad on the road in general. Hard to feel confident in the offense. But it's gonna have to figure something out because our defense is not gonna shut them down

Curious what the line will be. Especially if A&M gets blown out. Maybe like LSU -3?

I’m hoping Kelly flops in huge games

Nussmeier and their WR corp could do what Burrow or Davey did to us in the past. We've got a big matchup problem there. They don't allow QB pressures and I don't think our secondary can cover any of their guys.

Luckily, they can't really run the ball...so LSU has to convert a lot of 3rd and longs. Unfortunately, our 3rd down defense is subpar and they're quite good at doing better than an offense ought to in those situations.

Focus on the run game and Bama wins easily. Have Milroe throw all over the place and Bama loses.

The team that played the first half against Georgia is going to have to show up or else we get run out of the stadium.

The positive spin on that is:

IF we get consistent offense and run the ball well to control the ball while scoring efficiently on those possessions

AND IF we can avoid letting LSU get better than usual run game performance

AND IF we can have a few new looks on 3rd and long that generate stops

THEN we can upset LSU at night in Tiger Stadium.

However, if we can't get those things then you better hope our offense can execute in road noise and win a shootout.

This is one of those games Milroe actually cares about, so I'm not worried.

We whipped UGA 28-0 in the first half. I know that was only one half, but it was against the most talented team in the nation. LSU ain’t UGA and while their defense seemingly has improved, it’s not nearly at the level of UGA’s defense. I also think you’re over emphasizing the crowd noise factor. Milroe was terrible against Tennessee, but it had more to do with their pass rush and Milroe’s happy feet than it had to do with crowd noise. Crowd noise affected the first series and maybe a false start or 2, but that’s about it. Those defensive ends affected Milroe in his most vulnerable part of his game. His head

Not sure what models Vegas uses but I know a lot of the efficiency metrics (like FEI) have a favorable view of Bama in general this year so I can see it being lower.

I wonder if it comes down to needing milroe to win the game for us and if he can't get it done, will deboer make a hard choice and give someone else an opportunity???

We've got 2 weeks to worry about LSU. Can we at least enjoy our first dominant win in a while for one fricking night?

Elko benched Weigman.
Back up instantly provides spark.

LSU might be in trouble.

Weigman should've been benched in the 1st quarter.

He's awful.

"Worried" isn't what I am, but I realize that LSU at night in death valley, besides 2018, is always a challenge, even with a mediocre lsu team. This lsu team isn't mediocre. They are good, not great. And yes, they will move the ball on us, but hopefully we can not break when bent.

Their defense is improved but they still are just OK. It really just depends which offense shows up. The one that shoots itself in the foot constantly, and misses big plays that are available or the one the makes explosive plays and runs the ball consistently? The lsu d is good enough to give us problems if we aren't helping ourselves.
