This is after Week 8 results.....Looks like they predict Georgia, Texas, and LSU to make the CFP.

Hope it's big and clear enough to read.....courtesy of USA Today............

This projection leaves out the reality of the playoff committee looking at potential second round games.

If the end ranking worked out this way, they would reverse LSU and Penn State in the rankings. Not because of anything OTHER than the seeding.

They'd rather have LSU vs OSU and UGA vs PSU in the second round than LSU/UGA and PSU/OSU.

lol @ Texas. They'd beat BSU, but K-State would tear them apart. They always give the Longhorns hell.

ISU would be torched by Oregon.

ND vs PSU would be interesting.

LSU would expose Miami.

LSU vs Georgia would be a super interesting matchup, maybe even a rematch of the SECCG.

PSU vs OSU. We've seen that movie 124,567 times or so.

Oregon vs Clemson. ACC is overrated.

Georgia vs Texas. Lol.
OSU vs Oregon. OSU'd probably win the rematch.

Georgia vs OSU. 3 of the past 4 for the Dawgs.

Miami at LSU at night would be a freaking insane environment. Home playoff game.

LSU would expose Miami.

Like they exposed USC?

LSU still has a lot of ball left to play and needs to get by Aggie, Bama, Vanderbilt and Florida still.

Two possible losses there, definitely one

No team has improved more from Week 1 to Week 8 than LSU.

They would annihilate USC if they played again or if they hadn't played in Week 1.

UGA beating LSU in the Superdome? If UGA was intimidated by BDS, what do you think the Superdome will be like? Don't forget Kirby is not Little Nicky, and BK is not Les Miles, so don't bring that 1/9/12 BS here!

I just listed the matchups shown in OP, otherwise K-State would've replaced Texas.

Bullshite! Can anybody honestly say we have a Music City Bowl defense? I need to stop asking questions that way since nobody answers honestly.

You have a superb defense, but your offense is atrocious.

They have Ohio State playing ether Penn State or Oregon 3 times this season and the other twice. This is what I was worried about. That Ohio State Oregon game a couple of weeks ago was awesome. When the novelty of these matchups wears off and we start realizing these early season regular season games don’t really matter in and of themselves, fans of other teams will start to tune out and just wait for them to play in the playoffs.

Notre Dame has two de facto playoff games before the CFP starts. They have to beat Army and Navy because if not the winner of Army/Navy almost certainly gets in if they are undefeated. I know the CFP committee will bend space time itself to get the Irish in, but if they drop a game to a military academy and that school runs the table... Not sure even the CFP can put a happy face on that one and put Notre Dame in.
