There are about 8 contenders for this

Freshman of the Year could be safety KJ Bolden at UGA

Did you know he is the youngest player in Alabama history to be on a team that's lost 2 games by Mid October?

What are his qualifications for this award? I might have gone with the OC from Vandy.

Transfer of the year Xavian Sorey at Arkansas

Idk the stats comparison offhand, but I think Boo Carter has been pretty good for us in a similar role as KJ. He was kind of thrust into a starting position before the staff really wanted him to be, but he was pushing even before a couple injuries.
In all likelihood though its going to be Ryan Williams. He might be the best WR in the SEC already.

Not sure the stats really show that, what are the rest of the non LSU fans missing here?
Obviously Beck at Vandy would be the assistant of the year.

LSU’s defense has gone from one of the worst in the country to top half in total defense and top 35 in scoring. Its an impressive turnaround considering it’s mostly the same players.

Had 1 good game vs UGA and everyone goes crazy. The real answer is Dylan Stewart South Carolina.

3rd in pass rating / 3rd in pass YPG / 11 TD 1 INT best ratio in the SEC -
all that said - I'd lean Nussmeier if it's a QB ....or DE Kyle Kennard who is 4th nationally in sacks and 2nd nationally in TFL's -

Sorry. but 14 tackles, 4.5 sacks and 1 forced fumble doesn't hold a candle to Kyle Kennard's 19 tackles, 12.5 TFl's 8'5 sacks and 2 Forced fumbles.
