Mid season... Kudos to the HC for having the balls to do it. But... Maybe we get an easier road win now.

Why? Can he complete a forward pass?

This sometimes can be more a sign of weakness than strength. I think this is more about Venables trying to deflect the heat under his own arse. They got NIL'd and ended up having to play QBs they didn't expect to see the field until 2025.

Probably, the question is does he have eligibility and is he a running QB.

Get the frick outta here. Venables did this to himself. I hope Cale Gundy is sitting on a beach somewhere laughing at this shite show. He recruited my nephew and was a damn good guy. Oklahoma and Venables railroaded him over bull shite. They got what was coming.

Venables is on the coaching hot seat. I think he’s probably safe this year but next year, his coaching seat is going to be molten magma hot.

If they continue to look the way they have these last two weeks, I'm not sure he lasts to next year.

Utah just followed suit. Very surprised because I thought Andy Ludwig was pretty safe. He’s had a pretty long relationship with Whittingham.

I think it depends on if they can get heupel or not. He called off the dogs in the 2nd half of their game. Only one reason to do that

I'd be stunned if OU didn't eventually fire Venables and didn't offer Heupel a truckload of cash. Personally, I think it's a safe bet that either after this season or next, Heupel will be the next OU HC.

Huepel has so much bad blood with Oklahoma. I can't see him going back there. Stoops fired him a decade ago and he was pretty pissed.

Not sure how you can blame the OC given their injury situation.

Utah's OC stepped down, as well. I guess he got tired of coaching Cam Rising.
