I would have preferred they use .40 calibers and sniper rifles, but tasers is a start.

Two years ago when Tennessee took down Alabama, the goalposts from Neyland Stadium wound up in the Tennessee River. On Saturday, police inside Neyland Stadium were going to make sure something similar did not take place. While they likely were happy to see the Vols get a win, tasers were pulled out to keep the goalposts safe.
Right after the game ended, there was somebody there to take the goalposts down. They were affiliated with the stadium crew, though. Fans were not behind the process. In a video captured, you can hear police telling people to back up and move away.

Not sure why Tenn fans rushed the field. It wasn't a massive upset.

Still an upset over one of if not the their biggest rival. I get it.

Tenn was #11. Bama #7. Tenn won in 2022. Not a huge upset in anyway. Bama was picked by maybe 3 or less points.

The general feeling is that the field got rushed by a lot of people with FOMO from 2022.

Seemed like a rather half hearted field rush

Tasers. I wonder if more security will begin using them

Administration should be arrested for allowing this to happen and giving 90 days hard labor.
Charged with allowing a riot to take place.

You could stop these field storms easily. You make the home team forfeit the game and pay each SEC school 1 million a year for 20 years.

I got tasered last night rushing the field. Single greatest moment of my life.

40 cal is a dead cartridge. The US was the only country that used it widely, and law enforcement has dropped it for 9mm at an unsustainable rate the last decade.

Would there happen to be any gifs of the tasers being deployed? Not that this would be funny or good gif material

Serious question: how do you get the posts out of a stadium like that?
I fear Mizzou might have the same debacle if they keep messing with the north end.

Board's biggest POS once again rooting for people to be hurt and killed.
You should be institutionalized.

They’ve beaten Bama twice in 20 some years

Yeah, I get the FOMO from two years ago and the excitement of a comeback win, especially after that dog shite of a first half.
Now they have to repair the field cause people tore up chunks, and another million dollar check.

That’s about the only way you could “win” in Baton Rouge.
