But why? They're fun.
Guess who gets the money for the fine?

The opposing school. I don't want to fund a scholarship for Alabama every time we beat them.

Currently a first offense costs $100,000, a second rush $250,000 and subsequent violations run $500,000 each.

They have 2 weeks to get it done. It’s a bye week so that’s not an issue. And the AD can afford it.

It's dumb, field stormings are a CFB tradition

I would have preferred they use .40 calibers and sniper rifles, but tasers is a start.

We don't need to fund a scholarship for Alabama whenever we beat them.

The AD doesn't pay for it. Donors pay. It's just money taken away from productive things for our programs.

Not sure why Tenn fans rushed the field. It wasn't a massive upset.

The kids that missed out on 22 were determined to make it happen. It was a big win but wasn't rush worthy.

Assuming Bama gets the money, just have Arky cut them a check.

Do you know a single donor clutching pearls over this?

They do get the money.

SEC field rush fines were originally implemented in 2004. They formerly went to the league's post-graduate scholarship fund, but under the 2023 rule update, they are now paid directly to the losing institution, meaning the losers will collect the check for any field storming.

They should. Why should we fund Alabama? Spend that money on our team.

You obviously have never met UTs donor base. 250k? And Arky is paying for the fine?

Get the BVS nonsense out of here.

40 cal is a dead cartridge.

I converted my two .40 cal Glocks to 9mm, but still have my .40 barrels and mags. Anytime there's serious gun control talk the 9mm and .45 ACP ammo dries up, but there's always .40 on the shelves. Haven't shot a round of .40 in at least 15 years, but I like having the ability just in case.

And you don’t donate to the athletic program to see Vols win games like this? It’s 250k. Send in your 25.00s and celebrate the win.

Ok. I get it. You are HVR aren’t you. Only his dumbass would find this amusing. UT athletics isn’t poor and they always do maintenance after a game. And during a bye week they would address the turf anyway. Hell, they could pass the hat where I work and raise a good chunk of the funds in a day.

Look for 40 to shrink and dry up in 2 election cycles. Seriously, the industry is replacing 40sw with 10mm.
