TSIO > Iron Bowl. Tell me Im wrong!

Everybody loves to talk about the Iron Bowl, and while it is obviously special in its own right, the Tennessee rivalry has always been more special to me as a Bama fan.
The victory cigar tradition. The typical perfect weather in the middle of October. Two huge traditional powers in the SEC (I know it’s been a while since Tennessee won the SEC but they are still in the Big 6 for a reason). The colors/uniform contrast (Crimson vs the “puke” orange). Legendary players from both programs. It is pure college football imo.
Auburn just annoys me and Bama usually has more to lose on the line than they do (and Auburn can salvage a 5 loss season by throwing everything at Bama to play spoiler at the end).
When Tennessee and Bama play, it is often a swing game for either team on how they will fare the rest of the season.
Here’s to another fun TSIO Vols

I've had some gray haired Alabama fans tell me if they had to choose they would rather beat UT in a given year than Auburn.

Im not a grey hair (not yet anyways) but I feel the same way. As long as a loss to Auburn to at the end doesnt frick up our post season opportunities, I can live with a loss to them. But I savor the wins vs Tennessee for sure!

You are going down Gumps. Heupel has our guys ready to run through a brick wall for him in Neyland this weekend.
The more violent and physical team will win. Period.

You’re not wrong, Bama is way more times than not the favorite in the Iron Bowl, and Barn pulls out their entire bag of tricks to make it close. It’s an annoying frustrating game to watch.
I literally, besides 2012, never get joy from the Iron Bowl, it’s a very frustrating game to watch. I actually hate it

I think you should be more concerned with winning tomorrow than which rivalry game is bigger than another.

From an outside perspective, the kick six nullifies this argument alone.
That one second play had everyone, even casual watchers pissing themselves for months

LSU fans are the eternal bitter ex gf mindset type of guys that make you cringe so hard it hurts.

Yea yea… y’all were supposed to be undefeated and have this high powered offense too.

We spent the entire off-season listening to your fan base and everyone else blow Nico only to have him suck fat arse and lose to Arkansas.
Nobody is jealous of Tennessee. You guys haven't been in a single playoff discussion, no natties since god knows when, and the only thing going for y'all is that your rival had a dynasty and people had eyes on the game for them alone.

sounds pretty similar to our games with OU and A&M.. At the end of the day.. if you can only keep 1, which one are you choosing?
For me.. I would always keep the OU game, but I would hate to lose the A&M game.

The OP asked a question. He answered. Why are you such a jackass?

Off topic.. Purdue has a shitload of fans at this game against Oregon, considering they are 1-5.

Yeah if we could only keep one, I would prefer to keep the Tennessee game. I recognize Im of a dissenting opinion even amongst the Bama fan base, but damn it is always a special Saturday when the TSIO rolls around.

For me, I hate losing to Auburn more. I grew up in both Alabama and Tennessee, but most of the time Tennessee lost to Alabama and most of the kids weren't really Tennessee fans, just some. Where as growing up in Alabama, everyone picked a team. A common question was - Alabama or Auburn. And it was basically an entire year of bragging rights and a really big deal.
People who are younger than me experienced the Doughnut Devil years, combined with the worst years for Alabama in the past 65 years. They seem to hate Tennessee more.
Tennessee fans are worse, so I get it.
