2019 LSU, the best team ever, went into Texas to face a 8-5 Longhorn team. LSU prevailed in a 60 minute war, 45-38

2022 Alabama, a great team with a Heisman winning QB, went into Longhorn land and walked away with a 20-19 victory over an 8-5 Texas team

Now they have another big test with almighty Georgia and the disciplined Kirby Smart.

Who will win?

I still believe the winner of that Texas LSU matchup was the one that was going to win it all.

Texas didn't do well after that but that team had the stuff.

Was a good arse game. They made some crazy plays and dropped a super easy 7 in the EZ.

We had a good first unit in 2018, but we didn’t have depth. Injuries piled up as the year went along. We did beat Georgia in the Sugar Bowl that year, but they didn’t want to be there.

That wasn’t a NC roster though.

It looks like that now. But I think that game was a springboard to a lot.

Impossible to know how LSU would react to a loss there or Texas a win.

It’s called a home field advantage. Because you play in a HS stadium, you wouldn’t understand

My eyes say Texas beats UGA.

Kinda magical thinking that all of a sudden UGA is gonna wake up and put it all together. Beating Alabama may not be the world-beating feat that it has been in other seasons.

Texas has been consistent -even with backups; plus, home field…

Have we discussed the functionality of the AC unit in the visitor’s locker room?

2019 game was an easy dropped TD pass from being much tighter, possibly a Longhorn win over the "greatest team ever in the history of ever!!1"

2022 game was the result of corrupt and incompetent Big12 refs bailing Bama out when we had Bryce Young sacked in the endzone for a safety.

2024 UGA is to be determined..

Can’t see Georgia winning this weekend. So damn fickle you never know how they going to play. Talent every where but they can’t seem to dominate..

Why would the Big12 refs bail out Bama? A Texas win over Alabama in the regular season would’ve been the biggest Big12 achievement since the 2005 Rose Bowl

ACCORDING TO 3 SECONDS OF RESEARCH MISSOURI HASN’T WON IN AUSTIN SINCE 1896! 123 years before LSU last won in Austin.

Who exactly are you trying to troll?

While I agree that UGA hasn't looked the part so far this year (other than perhaps week 1), I kind of disagree that thinking UGA could put things together is magical thinking.

The reality is that teams with a high level of talent often HAVE put things together after slow starts and become much more complete teams.

Alabama in 2021 is a good example. They eeked out wins over LSU, Auburn and Florida... all of whom finished below .500. They lost to A&M who finished 8-4.

But they had moments where their talent shown through over the course of the year (Ole Miss) and put everything together late to beat UGA in the SECCG and make it to the national championship game.

UGA is a team with a lot of talent on the roster. If things click for a game in the middle of the season or things get "righted" at a certain point to continue to the end of the season, it's not magical. It's just a talented roster figuring shite out.

Doesn't mean it will happen. Doesn't mean you should expect it to happen. But you do have to consider that it easily could happen. It could happen with Bama just as easily.

Texas should win it. UGA hasn't looked all that great. Texas has looked pretty good. Texas is at home.

UGA can win it because they have a lot of talent and they could put things together. But the spread suggests Texas would win 60-65% of the time. That feels right for this matchup.

B12 knew Texas was leaving for over 2 years and did everything they could to try to frick us over.

Alabama game.

14 penalties against Texas v. ZERO against Okla State.

B12 Commissioner openly supporting TTech to beat Texas for B12 Chmapionship.

2019 LSU got much better as the year went on. Burrow improved every week and the defense hits it stride down the backend of the season.
