Do any of you Georgia Dawgs who are coming to the game Saturday night need any advice?

Since this may be your first time in Austin if you have any questions that I could help you with I would be glad to share. I've lived in Austin for over 40 years and have been a season ticket holder at DKR for over 20 so I know how to get around pretty good and can help with some places to go and listen to some music, eat, etc. Plus anything about Gameday you need advice on I can probably help you out with or can find out if I don't know personally. Sorry I can't help with getting you tickets to the game or finding a place to stay for the weekend but I would be glad to answer other questions you may have.

Austin “might” possibly have a serial killer around 6th street but I’m sure it’s all just a coincidence…welcome to Austin.

But seriously stay away from the river …lol

Just trying to extend some good Ole Southern Hospitality. Sorry if that frightens you. I was raised to be nice to out of towners. Didn't mean to sound creepy.

You don't sound creepy. The trolls are just being trolls. It was very nice of you to offer advice.

So you live in Austin but aren't a Texas alum/fan? There is a Texas board here and plenty of advice for Georgia people in there. You could add your .02 to that thread.

Seems like a nice gesture from him. Also seems like if you were offering this you’d be interested in raping someone.

Where is a good spot to tailgate? Just looking for some pay lots within 3/4 mile of the stadium. We are staying in Temple on Friday night and driving down mid -morning on Saturday.

I spent a good bit of time in Austin in 2020 and 2021 for work so I am familiar with the area but was never there on a Saturday game day.

This feels like a little pedo vibe and possible set up. Careful pups..

I would try the area South of MLK between Lavaca and Red River. You might also have some luck across I-35 where Disch Falk Field is. There are green spaces around DF and next to the Tennis Center you can tailgate and across the Comal there should be some space around the Softball stadium.

It's going to be a party!!!! I always take the bus in though because I am not about to try and drive back home with that traffic plus 16 hours of tailgating and no telling drinking how many beers and other libations. I too am old to go to jail with a DUI.
