Are you choosing between Kirby or AAU? That’s the decision you face given the current circumstances.
And I doubt he has any interest in dealing with the bullshite any longer.

AAU is a secret society of uppity universities that pride themselves on research.
AAU will never let UGA in because there are already two others in the state- GT and Emory.
They will never let UGA in, despite the amount of research grants and important ground-breaking work the university is doing in the fields of science.

Has nothing to do with it, Emory is scared shitteless of us becoming AAU and they black ball us.

UGA has not had a medical school attached to it officially until this past year. Once the medical school is accredited and starts pulling in the research dollars to go along with the bio med research dollars we will get asked to join. Plenty of CA schools in AAU so it’s not limited to the numbers of colleges in a state. Not having a medical school and the research grants there has hurt us on being invited in the past.

Why would UGA need AAU status?
UGA is the flagship university of the state. It has a top 20 law school, a top 25 MBA program, top 10 public policy program, top 5 agricultural program, top 20 journalism program, and recently added a medical school.
It also happens to enjoy some of the most winsome coeds, one of the most beautiful campuses, greatest college towns, and formidable athletic programs in the country.
GT is an urban campus located off a highway and is, to your misfortune, almost 70% male. GT produces the engineer who will live a humdrum upper-middle class lifestyle in Marietta. UGA produces a gamut of professionals, from politicians to lawyers to CEOs who run the state.
Take a look at the schools' comparative SAT / GPA scores. They're virtually identical. UGA is just the dream college experience, whereas Tech is where fun goes to die. Enjoy that AAU status...

There is a medical school, for animals, and they do tons of research, granted research, in animals, for future human treatments. Animal testing as it were. Emory does the same, UGA and Emory partner on most of it. There is amazing stuff going on in the animal research field at UGA, not just turning out DVM's.

Georgia doesn’t need for anything.
They have it all.
Great academics, a gorgeous campus, state of the art academic buildings and incredible sports facilities, the most talented football team and the best football coach in the nation, lots of $, and a huge generous fan base in the #1 college town where the party never stops. And to top it all off, they are a public Ivy.

Why would a college football fan care if a school belonged to a highly regarded academic group?
I agree with Smart's most likely nearing the end of his tolerance for BS.

Was a victim of assault and battery, was invited so no trespass nor criminal trespass, and the UGA player is the one lied to police.

Huh? There are 11 member institutions in CA.
There are six in NY. There are five in MA, and four in PA. IN has three members as does IL and FL,

The other in state schools get to vote on your admittance plus AAU has gone on membership drives in the past and let in some substandard schools.
