Has anybody been to this before? Was thinking about driving down next Thursday so I could actually make a trip to Auburn and not come home disappointed but not sure if it's worth a two hour drive on a weeknight. What all goes down?

It’s a fun time. More for if you have kids or grandkids in my opinion. Lotta fun, loud music, dunk contest, getting people pumped up, pseudo scrimmage. They do a good job with it

I'm leaving in about two hours. Want to see the house my GrandFather, His Brother, then all three of us lived in while we were at school. Then handed the house over to the family. Nice to go to school and not pay for housing ,,,,three generations ....

Saw that Pegues had a brace on his hand and Miles Kelly wasn’t in attendance. Who has the scoop?

It was an interesting day. I am amazed by how much the city has grown. I parked at the house we lived at while going to school. Easy walk from Pine Hill Cemetery to Toomer's Corner ........
Crowd started arriving at 1:30 grew until the Tip Off at 6:30
If I could come back as a 20 year old Student .......
Aubie came out early and entertained the best he could. I found the best way to get a clear view of everything. Behind the basketball goal is a giant screen You can watch the close ups on the screen and drop your gaze to see the players underneath the goal from behind.
I had to drive back to Birmingham and left after the players did their slam dunk contest. I was surprised to see my upstairs neighbor at Tip Off. She graduated from Auburn last year..

At the beginning I wondered if this has lost it's luster. Then the folks came from all directions .....Downtown was flooded with people. Every age group .....People in the hotel with great views. What a Burger ( second floor) windows had good views.
Great Crowd .....
I always look for security ......Cops everywhere .....Swat team at the end of the street.. Definitely planned to be a family event .....
