Legend's call was one of the biggest melt of all time. He literally compared Mike DeBoer and Bama losing to Vandy to finding your wife in bed with the neighbor. "You can move past it but you will never be able to trust her again." Which brings 2 things to mind.

1. Why would you want to work it out with her?

2. Enjoy your version of Les Miles Gumps.

Well, I guess that is one way to react.

It blows my mind that people that are post-college age regularly tune in to this shite

So I listened to one of Legend's "melts" last evening, and if that is for real and not staged, I have no words.

It's like Jerry Springer. I can't watch or listen to that trash. I don't find it entertaining after a few minutes. Instead, I feel very sad for him.

I don't but some of the callers are hilarious. It's funny to hear the melts and shite talk.

Alabama fans are shocking creatures that constantly defy the laws of stupidity.

Why else do you think we come to this board? Who other than LSU fans could make us feel classy and intelligent?

Was it you that posted a meme of DeBoer getting butt rammed?

That defies several laws of something, starting with decency perhaps?

I listened to the show years ago when Finebaum was still in Birmingham and relatively small potatoes. Legend used to claim that he had been in a gang and was in prison at one point. So you're right. It is exactly like Jerry Springer.

I'm kind of surprised that you think a college age kid would tune into the Finebaum show...

You'd think college age kids would be too busy watching Lawrence Welk reruns to have time to watch Finebaum.

That sounds like old Legend may be talking about his experience.

I missed yesterday's show because I wanted to hear the wailing and gnashing of teeth.

It’s more like the Morton Downey Jr. Show.

I get the feeling that if Paul ever really finds himself out of the spotlight he might stage something crazy like Morton did.

He had supposedly done time for manslaughter. I believed it at the time. Why wouldn’t I? But the show just got trashier, more hysterical and more unhinged until they lost me 15 or 20 years ago.

Now looking back, and seeing what goes on here, I have my doubts. I would lean towards Legend, and his story, being completely made up. I think several of Finebaums most controversial and prolific callers were. They were real people, but their characters on his show were somewhat scripted. It was professional wrestling in a call in show format. He hit paydirt with it too.
