As referenced multiple times in another thread. What metric are they using other than emotion?

Well, reality is a bitch:

Delusion is a powerful force, especially coupled with hive mind mentality.

I'm still trying to figure out people's obsession with Total defense/offense. Games are won based on points....not yardage.

That being said....LSU is ranked #31 in scoring offense....a point and a half lower than Vandy.

There's not a single metric in the chart that even puts them in the top 5.

To be fair LSU hasn't gotten the chance to play Alabama's shitty arse Defense and pad the stats like Vandy did.

Yards per game is a worthless metric. It doesn't account for opponent strength or garbage time yardage.

LSU last week was #2 in SP+ offensive efficiency. This week LSU is #3 in SP+ and #8 in FPI. These models account for strength of opponent and garbage time yardage. Ole miss is #7 in SP+ and #10 in FPI.

LSU is ranked 31st in scoring offense. Which accounts for points scored by your offense.

LSU could lose their next 3 and be in full meltdown mode soon.

no need to get upset. I'm not throwing out stats in an effort to say "we're going to beat you". I'm purely pointing out that the ONLY thing that matters is points scored. Using obscure formulas to give theoretical rankings is garbage.

True. Even if those P5 teams have been garbage. UCLA's one win is a 3 point victory over Hawaii.

LSU has played significantly better defenses than Ole miss. It's harder to score more points on better defenses.

Have you been on this board much? They're always in meltdown over something. Softest fanbase in the conference.

Soon.
