The media is dick riding Nico and the Vols. Refs have received notice to give them favorable calls throughout the season. Tennessee will be SEC champs you can put the mortgage on it.

Do they win it all, probably not. But, that Oklahoma game was a really nice win. On the road vs. a ranked team. Usually those kind of wins mean you're gonna have a great season.

I'm not seeing it unless they improve a good bit. Probably match up on some teams and get some good wins, but I don't see a team capable of going the distance.
Everyone usually improves over the season outside injuries, but thus far they've played a weak schedule outside Oklahoma, and they were not impressive offensively at all in that game, quite the opposite.
And what's weird is that as much as they talk about their offense, it's actually their defense that is rated highly, and their offense isn't even in the top10 on opponent adjusted stats.
I'd chalk it up to things lingering from last year, but that data is getting weaker by the week, and they didn't really prove it wrong against Oklahoma.
I'd say their defense makes them probably a little better than Ole Miss.

Absolutely. This is the first time in many many years I actually think they are, because of their defense.

Tennessee is a contender until they prove they’re not. Physical, strong on the lines, can run the ball, good QB = contender. I would almost say that they’re one of the favorites.

The espn playoff predictor has UT at a 94 percent chance to make the playoffs even with losses to BOTH Georgia and Alabama.
So I guess you're saying that if UT loses to Georgia, they have no chance to beat them in a rematch.
Yer probably right. Everyone knows you cant lose an earlier game and then win a later playoff game against the same team. Just ask '21 Georgia

You know OP isn't a UT fan, right? But UT could lose to Arkie, it could happen. UT has to prepare hard for this one. It ain't gonna be easy.
