Texas - taking the QB high road for now

All our future opponents are saying it. They want Quinn, they want nothing to do wth Arch. I've seen it on other threads, and I just read an Aggie saying it. Texas beats us huge with Quinn, they beat us enormously with Arch.
Arch started vs ULM. He was shaky, he threw some picks, things took shape after awhile and Texas scored a buttload of points.
Next Arch starts vs State. He had dropped balls and holding calls - not his doing. Texas defense couldn't get off the field. But if you just look at Arch game 1 vs. Arch game 2, the improvement was amazing.
If you take away the nice guy and integrity aspect... I'm starting Arch. Why make your opponent defend a 30-yard box when you came make them paranoid in a 60-yard box? Arch will tear you up if you don't stretch out that defense. Honestly, Texas running game should excel when Arch is in there - we haven't seen that yet however.
I'm all for being the good guy and honoring Ewers coming back for this season, but we all live in the real world - Ewers calculated that was his best move. Now, I don't think it was because he has only proved that he gets injured every season.
Ewers has got a tall order in front of him, make no mistake. We've got a mad bomber standing on the sideline just dying to roll the scoreboard like a gas pump. On top of that, Ewers needs to shine bright so that his NFL stock will smother out his propensity for injury.
Let's say OU is on top at halftime.
Exactly.
I guess we'll see how these chips fall because there WILL be moments of frustration and concern in upcoming Texas games. I'm all for ride or die, but I really don't want to die.

which is exactly what an alter would say..
1) Texas needs both Ewers and Arch
2) There is no QB controversy
Therefore, a "longhorn" who wants to start a QB controversy only is a "longhorn" to stir the fricking pot.
Go frick yourself.

Thanks scooter.
You yourself will be calling for Arch to come in at some point in the next few games. Book it and remember I said it.
Not starting a controversy. Telling shite like it is. Arch is a 60 yard field. Quinn is a 30. Truth

2-0 vs Quinn
2022 was a meaningless bowl game
Texas sat 7 starters, including Doak Walker Winner Bijan Robinson, and 2nd leading rusher Roshon Johnson
2023 counts

Texas board material. That said, if Ewers can stay healthy he's a top 10 pick. Manning will be fully weaponized next season, but we have a greater chance of success with Ewers. Such an ill informed take, Mt Vernon

Serious question... has Arch played any meaningful downs vs any team worth a shite? Any team that can pressure?
Quinn definitely has. Arch has definitely not.

Who can pressure? Our OL are bigger than your house. We have a designated NIL fund for those guys.
