Just how good is Henry?

As an LSU fan, I’ve always had the utmost respect for Alabama’s Bobby Humphrey and Shaun Alexander. But Derrick Henry has to be among the top five NFL backs of all time. Tough as nails and still has amazing speed. He’s stampeding past Buffalo tonight.

He is so fun to watch. An RB forged from the molds of Eddie George and Earl Campbell.
Power with enough speed to get the job done.

He is still lightning fast when he reaches his top speed. Pretty impressive at this stage of his career.

1 yard away from setting a new NFL record. Come on Ravens...geez.

He’s underratedly one of the best RBs of all time imo. He is the GOAT high school RB, and still dominates in the NFL he really should be involved in the convo with guys like Barry Sanders for the greatest running back of all time.

I've long thought he was the best RB in SEC history and probably will be in NFL history. The size, strength and top speed are just fricking insane.
But I can't claim to have an unbiased opinion on the topic.

Henry is fricking awesome. On another note, the Titans organization is completely fricking useless.... like, Nashville needs to quit sports and just have airbnbs and Bachelorette parties on lower Broadway...... fricking idiots...

From a stiff arm that can flip a grown defensive end, to a 250 running back that a CB or Safety still can't run down with the length of the field to do it. He is special in every way. He also continues to be overlooked in many a team's game plan. He was completely misused at BAMA until his junior year. Something we refused to do during Mark Ingram, Trent Richardson, Eddie Lacy, and TJ Yeldon's era of BAMA football.
Baltimore finally decided to take their new acquisition around the block vs Dallas and, hopefully, realize what they just brought in. Henry is a huge mismatch and problem that Lamar can take full advantage of if ONLY Monken has the sense to give Henry the carries that define this man's strength and destroy the defense's will to win.

He needed 1 more yard last night and he would’ve had 200 yards. 200 yards would’ve made him the sole record holder for most games in an NFL career with 200 or more yards rushing.

I think he's the most underrated RB in the history of the SEC, which is crazy considering he's the only one to ever eclipse the 2,000-yard mark.

Will Muschamp saw that skill and potential and thought he was better suited to be a LB at UF

He's broken national records at every level of football he has ever played. Hate that his prime NFL years were with the Titans.
He is a true freak of nature

There were Alabama fans who thought the same when we signed him in 2013. We had such a great RB class that year (Kamara, Drake, and Tenpenny) that there were more than a few who believed Henry would never see the field at that position.

He’s been a man among boys at every level. Simply incredible.

Big, fast, and never really seems to get injured. Is really good at falling forward to avoid big hits.
