Take away the Bobby wins for Jeff and Chad losses for Hunter. Because neither hired those coaches, they were just present.

I think yurachek has done very well overall, but football isn’t just an Arkansas problem now.

Folks want to invest in programs that there is a realistic chance of winning it all, only a select few programs have that chance in football.
That’s just being realistic.

Programs like mizzou have put all their eggs in one basket and even though, with a weak schedule, are winning more games right now they won’t win it all.

Meanwhile when their football season is over sports are over until the next football season. I wouldn’t trade for that.

Didn’t know we had this?

I care about basketball and baseball and track is winning natties.

But to your point, yes, no one cares about a sport we don’t have.

Most people would trade a college World Series appearance for a 10 win football season and a first round playoff loss

The thing is the CWS appearance costs a tiny fraction of what that 10 win season would.

so? Nut up it’s the cost of doing business. I mean damn if ole piss and mizzery can find the funds to have a decent, not great, football team why can’t we? Like holy frick I’m not asking for us to be Georgia I’m asking for a football team that can get 8 and maybe, just maybe if I’m not asking too much 9 wins in the regular season! I mean damn maybe i should just embrace the suck like some of you seem to have and just accept we’re just a cupcake now for the rest of the league. And again I don’t mean cupcakes for Bama and Georgia I mean another fricking vandy. Because that’s what it looks like. Kansas of the south we’ve basically taken kentuckys spot and they took ours. Absolute bottom dweller football team, while Kentucky is a scrappy hard nosed 7-8 win football team. I mean shite that’s all I’m asking for just don’t suck donkey dick and lose 8/9/10 fricking games every year. But frick me I guess I’m just a dreamer. I should know my place and expect Missouri and Mississippi state to buttfrick us and we should like it. We should be thankful if we can even find a way to beat Louisiana tech! Hell you know what would really save some money since we’re so goddamn broke? Just shut the fricking football program down completely then you’ll have a shitload of more funds to invest in college baseball!!! Woohoo!!

so?
So that's like saying "Everyone I know would trade their Ford Pinto for a Ferrari." Well no shite. That doesn't mean that trade is anywhere near equal.

We could take every dime spent on baseball and put it toward football right now and still be nowhere near the top of the conference in spending. Advocating that we should suck in other sports to be mediocre in football has never made sense to me. Either invest in football or don't, but starting the whole bartering other sporting accomplishments in exchange for football success is pointless. The price of success isn't even in the same universe anymore.

Arkansas doesn't have enough money to compete in NIL when it comes to football.

They can do it in basketball and baseball because it is cheaper. Not very many schools take those two sports as seriously as Arkansas.

this isn’t true. Maybe basketball but we aren’t out spending people in baseball we just have a great culture and coach. Yeah we invest well there, but lsu is spending way more, the Mississippi schools dump money into baseball about as much as we do, and vandy is still vandy.

I think it would be enough for a couple of years, then once 7-8 wins became the norm again, fanbase expectations would go up just like they did after Sam won 9 games and money would start to dry due to "stagnation" and we'd be right back here again.
