The thing about Texas and Oklahoma's first SEC year

I know Texas is ranked high right now and probably -- just maybe deservedly so but the SEC grind will get to you. You may be looking good right now but then before the season's over you could end up losing 2, 3 or 4 or more games. I wouldn't be surprised.
A couple of years ago Tennessee looked great to start and then fell apart. LSU, same deal in the 2010's, Georgia in 2007, Alabama started great in 2010, etc. etc.
It's a long and grueling season.
Thoughts and prayers, fellas

The wheels will have really fallen off if that is true. They got a steak and blowjob schedule this year.

That Michigan win is better than I thought it was initially.
Still, they're going to drop at least one, probably two.

We're on our 2nd string QB and 3rd string RB. We'll be fine.

You are aware that Texas won by double digits last year in Tuscaloosa and it could have easily been 21+, right?

Gee, I'm glad somebody on the rant finally let us in on that little secret.
Right now the SEC OGs have a 1-0 lead on the newbie teams after the Tennessee-Oklahoma game. There are 13 games to go.

How did Texas do against Kalen Deboer?

I expect the LSU and below fan melts over Texas. The Georgia and Alabama melts were the ones I didn't expect.
Carry on
Carry on

I'm seeing a lot of wishful thinking on this thread...

Kalen almost coached himself out of a game in which they had a turnover advantage, conversion advantage, penalty advantage, time of possession advantage and a 6th year QB who had the game of his life. Overall Texas killed themselves, Kalen just benefited from it.

Texas has one of the easiest SEC schedules I've ever seen. It's not much of a "Grind" when you avoid what looks to be 5 of the top 6 teams in the conference (not including themselves obviously)

Your right. Playing Michigan, Georgia, Oklahoma and A&M and Arkansas on the road is easy...
Bama didn't want the heat after last year
Hook'em

It's only an SEC grind if you're Texas and Oklahoma.

though we all remember the beat down in Fayetteville that Arkansas put on Sarkesan his first year as head horn -
the season-ender in College Station also looms - with what will be some pent up ire and disdain from Aggieland -

Michigan is not SEC, which is what the topic is about. Also not convinced they are particularly that good, Top 15, probably, Top 10, eh, maybe.Top 5, no way.
Of the SEC teams listed, UGA is obviously tough, then you basically listed out the bottom half of the conference beyond that which is what Texas plays It'san easy SEC schedule, no way around it. What other SEC team only plays essentially 1 team from the Top 7 in the conference? You have A&M or maybe OU has the #8 team in the conference and they would probably be the only other top half team you play in the conference.
