LINK

We were supposed to go to Provo in 28 and then they were coming to Oxford in 29. Canceled.

We've now lost USC, Wake, and BYU.

I'm disappointed about the 9 game conference schedule. I was looking forward to one exotic travel game per year. Los Angeles, Corvallis, Provo, Boise, Boulder, etc. Those kinds of places are really fun, especially in September when it's hot as balls in Mississippi.

Instead we get an extra trip to Oklahoma or Texas or South Carolina or something.

Less than ideal imo

9 game conference schedule means everyone is trying to get out of their hardest OOC games.

Everyone wants 3 cupcake games .

But in our case we get Miss State as a permanent cupcake at the end of the season. So I think we should step out with a mid tier exotic every September

I keep saying it. Schedule a Home and Home w/ Colorado.
You win the newspaper and internet headlines that day and by the time we play them Deion will be long gone as will the talent.

I go to Boulder a lot for work so that would actually be awesome

Do we know this for sure? Has there been a press release? Or is this 9 game schedule just based on opinions?

Nothing official, but a bunch of coaches and ADs have hinted that this is where we will end up in 2026

I'm wondering if they will give us 3 permanent opponents then to restore some of the rivalries (OM-Vandy/Auburn-LSU/State-Bama)

Yeah I hope it's a 3-6 system where our 3 are State, LSU, and Vandy

I totally get the tradition draw for Vandy… but man, it would be a shame to keep the world from seeing a OM/Arky game every year

I agree. Arkansas has been a really underrated game. The series is close. The games are usually good. We may be a long way away from Fayetteville but they have plenty of fans in East Arkansas and a decent contingent in the Memphis area, so it's been a bit of a rivalry.

Actually it sounds like we cleared the BYU game as the SEC and Big 10 are rumored to be in discussions on a scheduling agreement... Wonder if they are gearing up for an annual SEC - B1G challenge like some conferences do in basketball

I hope that doesn’t come to fruition. Would be just another step in just making CFB the NFL lite as we just get to watch the same rotation of around 40 teams and then 9 of those end up in the playoffs.

I refuse to accept any schedule where we don't play LSU every year

This one pisses me off more than USC. Was going to be a super easy game for me to go to along with USC.

I really hope we replace these teams with someone out west where it is easy for me to make it to a game.

shite I live in an adjoining state to Utah and I’m still like a 9 hour drive away. Just because it’s out west doesn’t make it close and there’s not a lot of other close options.

I would love this whether Deion was coaching or not. I live 2 hours from Boulder, and Folsom is one of my favorite venues to see a game. I’d jizz in my pants if Ole Miss scheduled to play there.
