Did Ole Miss benefit the most, or the least, when divisions were done away with?

On one hand, they’ll never be able to put another sweet, sweet Western Division Champs 03 banner up in Vaught-Hemingway.

But on the other hand, I believe that banner stands alone, and there may never be another one quite like it, in any stadium.

That is something no one can ever take from Ole Miss and it’s a beautiful thing.

Discuss.

Florida the most. They'd be traveling back to Vanderbilt otherwise and we all know what happened last time

No, Tennessee did. They were the only SEC school that had to play Georgia, Alabama, and Florida every year

I’m glad others are getting some. It doesn’t benefit us in the sense that we still have to play them but now other teams that got to skip them have to face them. It equalizes things a bit. Though right now Florida isn’t a game that means as much.

We can put up another one if we want to. You can’t stop us. You can only whine like a twink

With LSU joining Auburn as washed up, it really was just OM and Bama in the west for the foreseeable future. Take Nick off the sidelines at Bama and I think Kiff would be able to knock them off a few times.

Assuming we are not adding Texas and OK to the West, old divisions of course.

Ark
Aub
A&M
Bama
LSU
MSU
Vandy
UK

Could be your SEC schedule this year.

But no with the demise of the lsu program, the west was looking wide open.

They had the benefit of playing Vanderbilt every year under the old divisional structure.

Thank God we don't have them this year!
