I thought this was the most concerning thing from yesterday, and it's not likely to get better throughout the season. Rushing 4 seemed to do nothing. The blitzes we schemed up also seemed to do nothing except leave fewer defenders left to cover.

0 sacks, I honestly don't even remember a time we got significant pressure. This was going against a fairly non-mobile QB.

Put aside all the other mistakes, you just won't win many games with this kind of pass rush.

I posted this on another board, but agree, lost in all the handwringing about the game yesterday is the fact that the pass rush didn’t piss a drop.

OK State’s OL was purportedly one of the most experienced in the country with 100+ combined starts, but getting 0 sacks on a non-mobile QB is concerning.

Ironically, it actually makes me feel a bit better about the secondary and linebackers because they played well for the most part despite Bowman having a clean pocket and all day to throw.

100%. Problem is, a defense with a great secondary and no pass rush, is still a ticking time bomb

This is those saying we were the better team. Yeah we put up some yards, but they clearly beat us in the trenches, especially after the first quarter

It’s hard to get to the QB when your main focus is stopping the run (which they did very well) and the QB gets rid of the ball in under 2.5 seconds every time.

That's a hard argument to make when you consider the respective rushing totals.

Bowman is streaky. He had WRs open all day, but he wasn't hitting them. This would have been a very different game had "on-target" Bowman showed up.

It would have been a very different game if we wouldn’t have turned the ball over multiple times while driving down the field successfully… We can talk about that crap all day. In the end we have potential and personnel to beat a lot of teams but won’t because we are the most undisciplined and mistake ridden team out there. So much stupid was on display yesterday.

I posted several times this past week that I thought turnovers would be the difference.

I hope y'all get it together.

Yeah. I’d love to see it. If y’all’s qb can hit receivers, I think that you’ll really enjoy watching your offense this year. Jury’s out on our DLine but your OLine also didn’t give up a single sack to us… Always good to be on the winning side of that stat line. Ultimately, GG and I wish that our teams played every year. Would be an awesome OOC.

Yes, a bit concerning, but OSU has a heavily experienced OL too, a pretty good one.
We did shut down Gordon anyway. Not many teams if any will do that.

EDIT: Well... us and Tulsa.

I felt like the defensive plan Saturday was pretty vanilla intentionally.... and it almost bit them in the butt. I'm still concerned though with the amount of cushion we are giving receivers. Couple that with just a 4 man rush and it spells issues.
