Thorny currently has 2,077 career yards and sits at 20 on the all time pass yards list.
Nick Marshall sits at 10 with 4,508 yards passing.
Thorny needs 2,408 yards to pass Marshall.
Will he do it?
Another fun stat: Thorne is #8 all time in completion percentage.

It will always be wild to me that Bo Nix is nearly the #2 all time leading passer for Auburn, and we ran him off.

Did we really run him off though? I feel like he made a true business decision, and it was the correct one.

He wouldn’t be a starting NFL quarterback if we didn’t run him off, so it worked out for the best imo

On pace to throw for 7,000 yards this season so he should easily

We have had a sad history of QBs.

If he didn’t break his foot and went on to beat Alabama again, I wonder how different things would have played out

he was awful on the road against SCarolina the year before, so it was certainly a possibility he would have been as bad in 2021
IB game is a wildcard, impossible to imagine how differently it would have gone down with a healthy Bo
if the injury played a big part in his decision to leave, then it was certainly a good thing for his future

PT had some great read options saturday I noticed, reminded me of how well Nick Marshall ran that

Thorne's quote of the day when the press asked him about Freeze climbing up his arse that one time when he came off the field...
"I grew up with coaches, my dad was a coach, (snickered) you have to listen to what he is saying not the tone of his delivery".
The press laughed as well, pretty good answer.

No idea why " most yards total" is used instead of average points per game. We used to have shorter seasons.

Agree. And its kind of funny some trying to compare Thorne to Marshall.

Thorne couldn’t hold Marshall’s jock strap. I’m not comparing at all. Marshall just happens to be sitting at the 10 spot.

In paper yes. In my heart, he is #2. All time for me.

I compared to how he played Marshall's read option on the read option plays, not his entire catalogue. It was a clean handoff on a big hole, I want to say if PT keeps up what he has started this first game he could very well outdo Marshall.

Nobody thinks Thorne will ever reach legend status like Marshal, but let's see what he does this season with the luxury of a room full of NFL-worthy receivers to throw to.
He could easily end up being a legend or a goat.

If he does it'll be as captain of the team. Because for him to shine everyone else will also be.
Otherwise he'd of done it all by himself alone last year.
