A 2-loss B12 team is not getting in. I doubt if a 2 loss ACC team gets in.
We are in the 2 superconference era of college football. The SEC and B1G will get every benefit of the doubt that is humanly possible from the playoff committee. And they should. The elite talent on the elite teams is in these 2 conferences. At the very least, the SEC deserves 6 teams. It won't happen, but it's the truth.

I hate that it's a glorified scrimmage, but at least football is BACK!

This is not a list of who gets in rather if those teams hit those win marks they are in the “discussion” based on schedule.
For example, OU is listed at 9. If they go 9-3 that means they went 5-3 in conf. They play 6 ranked conf teams so would have beat 3 ranked and lost to 3 ranked (and the other 2 are highly ranked in talent). That would then only make them “in the discussion”. The committee would still look at how they lost and how close they were. They may not get in with 9 wins but he is just saying the win marks listed get you in the window.
Of course, as teams win and lose during the year his chart will change too. If those 6 ranked conf teams end up being only 4 ranked at end of season that might change his scale to 10 wins for OU to be in the discussion. This is a starting point based on existing rankings and info.

Its all about ratings at this point.
That is why the B1G will get likely more than they deserve.
And why Notre Dame will likely get in over more deserving teams.

So, with 8 or more wins, any team in the conference would be "in the discussion." I really don't believe Florida at 8, but others, maybe.
