The other thread has too many pages now. Here’s the change in score compared to last year for all SEC teams:
+63.40: Auburn
+56:08: Vanderbilt
+56.05: Missouri
+50.07: Florida
+49.53: Kentucky
+48.24: Arkansas
+45.87: Ole Miss
+40.71: Texas
+37.60: Tennessee
+35.16: S. Carolina
+29.09: Georgia
+21.64: Oklahoma
+6.88: LSU
+2.85: Alabama
+1.02: Miss St.
-11.68: Texas A&M
Aggie roster is still very talented, but only roster to lose in talent score.

Watch us do more with less this season.

They should break this out by class year to tell a better story.

I agree I think that will be the case. A&M is my dark horse contender to surprise in the SEC.

Good chart. Its bears mentioning that the better teams have less chance to improve as their rosters were already good. But it shows how much the lesser performing teams have improved which narrows the gap between haves and have nots.

Missouri Finished #8 with a NY6 win last season.
+56.05: Missouri

Damn Freeze is doing work. It is so nice for us to be able to pay players without having to "keep it down home, cuz" any longer. Don't have to worry about REC plants on the team secretly recording coaches and then running to 60 Minutes.

This does not equate to the narrative that Alabama lost half its good players. Roster is as talented as before except with a coach at the forefront of the game instead of a slowly declining coach trying to keep up.

When you’re rock bottom, there’s tons of room for improvement. When you’re at the top, not so much. Great chart.

We’ll do even less with “more”.

Bama fans said Harsin could recruit.

I don’t know much about these things but guessing this doesn’t bode well for Mississippi St.

And Georgia went up 29.
How? Is this total team talent?

Yes, which doesn’t tell the entire story. For example, the Auburn folks are super excited about this because their numbers went up. But that’s only because of the freshman. If this was broken down by class it would give better insights into performance. A school with a lower number but more upper class men is going to be a better football team. Texas 8&4 is a good example of this over the last few years.

I think your comparison of where they rank gives a more accurate view. The only teams that made any big moves, more than 3 spots, were those outside the top 20. Auburn is interesting, they are ranked the exact same this year (18th in talent) that they were last year (also 18th in talent).
