Read somewhere that there are no rules excluding original members from rejoining the conference. Would love to see that. I’m sure LSU and UGA would cry like babies at the extra in-state competition.

No. It would be cooler if they did but sadly no.

Tulane would bring some great baseball chops to an already strong baseball conference. I don’t think LSU would care if Tulane joined though to be honest. Kids don’t grow up in Louisiana dreaming of playing football at Tulane.

I wish GT would rejoin. We waste a schedule spot on them every year, might as well make it a conference game.

NIL makes everyone a contender. There are some rich alumni at TU.

How would that generate additional revenue for the current members? You'd just be adding two parasites that don't give a shite about athletics to leech off the rest of the conference.

Don’t know much about GT but Tulane absolutely cares about their sports programs and their success speaks to it. Tulane is also one of the G5 teams that have a shot at making playoffs according to BR radio.

Tulane hasn't been very good at baseball in a good while outside of one season under David Pierce. I would love to see them return to prominence.

No they don't. Why would we want to add a G5 team with a stadium capacity of 30k? That's less than Vanderbilt's stadium holds. Why would we want to add Tulane and GT when we could add a North Carolina, Florida State, Clemson, etc.? All you would be doing is siphoning off revenue from the teams who actually generate it to a couple of light weights.

Yes, UGA would cry about having to play an in-state team....

That they already play every year.
