And somehow a mid major will take a 12th spot from someone.

Not sure how I feel about that.

In the one hand, it will make week twelve rivalry week crazy.
There will be three or four teams that need to win and all stops will be taken out.

In the other hand, a Memphis or Houston will coast through an easy schedule and replace someone.

Very interesting to see how those mid majors will do in the first/second rounds for the next three or four years.

We are headed for 16 teams faster than we realize.

How is that possible? We were told all of Bama's talent left when Saban retired. Rats off a sinking ship, etc., etc.

DeBoer took a team with less talent than Auburn to the Natty.

I don' know if it's just because the season is drawing closer or what, but bama fans lately have been ridiculously insecure with comments almost all exactly like this.

If anyone questions where the talent lies, it’s the SEC, no doubt. 6 of top ten and 13 of 26. Half the top teams are SEC, the rest are split between 3 other P4 conferences, independents and G5’s. Half the 12 team playoffs should be SEC from that graphic.

Nahhh shut the frick up. All offseason the media along with other fanbases have filled social media with stupid takes about how Bama is going to fall face first.

Yall are going to eat that crow like the two girls one cup video, and it will be glorious.

I don’t wanna hear the “we were just trolling y’all are so insecure” shite from any one of you.

Ever since Saban retired, fans from fAU, LSU, UGA, etc. have all been proclaiming that Bama was dead in the water. Talent level taking a huge hit with all the transfers, hiring a coach who can't recruit ( ), etc.

So when that narrative turns out to be unequivocally false, you expect Bama fans to remain quiet?

OU will be dangerous when they get a legit coach.

They always win 9-10 games they just need a top 5 coach.

Are they still using the high school recruit rating for each player to get to the total?

If you redid those talent composites rankings adjusting for how the recruits actually performed we certainly wouldn't be # 12, Just picking up a 4 or 5 star bust jacks up your composite score.

This one was really triggered by the Harsin comparisons.

We play 6 of 8 SEC conf teams according to AP poll.

Using this chart we play 7 of 8 ranked in top 20 of talent:

1: Bama
4: Tx
9: LSU
17: Tenn
18: Auburn (not ranked in AP)
19: Mizzou
20: Ole Miss

Only SC is not listed and on our schedule

I have bama currently at 3rd in the SEC and top 5 in america. What kind of crow should I be eating exactly?

My 2 cents- I think “Husky Harsin” will be like Tater Tot with Dye’s players. Bama will be very good this year- probably little drop off at all and very good next. If he’s able to keep recruiting the right players beyond that who knows. Tater Tot couldn’t do it. Seems like he’s been able to so far.
