Last 46 years Notre Dame has 1 title. They are not a blue blood, or elite, or great.

If not for homer refs they do not win it in 1988. Game was stolen from Miami.

I don't know, wouldn't that make him a borderline expert on the subject?

Georgia has won 2 in the last 3 years, and should have been in the mix to win one last year.

Mizzou hasn’t won a co-conference championship in 55 years

They were in the mix, They didn’t win the conference by losing to Alabama and the committee left them out. Georgia can’t be mad - same thing happened in 2021 and Georgia got a pass.

Blue blood doesn’t necessarily mean elite. The Red Sox and Cubs are unquestionably MLB blue bloods but have struggled to win it all. Blue bloods are brand names. Coca Cola has 1/10th the market cap of Nvidia but is far more recognizable.

No one thinks they are, except NBC

LOL.No team got a bigger pass than Bama did in 2017.

They produce top offensive lineman, but everyone else from there is trash.

Blue blood is subjective football jargon made up by college football dorks/boomers. It means quite literally nothing in modern day

I agree with this.

Meh. ND has 8 AP national titles and is still highly competitive.

Blue blood is about being good at one specific time in history. Doesn’t matter what they have done since …

I only date unhappily married Auburn women which gives me tons of options.
These Auburn women married to Auburn men are always starved to death for a real man.
Top that chief. You can't.

This.
Since 2017 they have done the following:
2017: 10-3 (Top 15 finish)
2018: 12-1 (Playoff appearance)
2019: 11-2 (Top 15 finish)
2020: 10-2 (Playoff appearance)
2021: 11-2 (Top 10 finish)
2022: 9-4 (Top 20 finish)
2023: 10-3 (Top 15 finish)
They have a good football program right now. Elite? That's a stretch. But they are a big name program with a monopoly on one of the so-called "Big Three" network broadcasting stations. And since they're still recruiting very well I don't think they're going anywhere anytime soon.
