Curious who y'all Bammers would pick. Some of my favorites:

Julio Jones
Amari Cooper
Derrick Henry
Devonta Smith
Will Anderson

I'd probably pick Henry just because of how dominant he is and how much of a throwback player he is. They just don't make RBs like him anymore.

Oddly enough I don't remember most of the defensive guys even though they were great

My favorites will always be some of the guys from the 08-09 squad.
Greg McElroy
Mike Johnson
Rolando McClain
Javier arenas
John Parker Wilson
Glenn coffee
Just to name a few because these guys signed with Bama and Mike Shula when there were severe sanctions over the program and Bama had no chance of winning in their early years of being players. Nobody wanted these players. Only Texas tech wanted McElroy. Only Florida international wanted Javier. John Parker didn’t even have financial aid his first season due to lack of scholarships. Only Jacksonville state wanted McClain and it appeared johnson was headed to Georgia southern. They not only signed but developed as football players to be amoung the main cogs that made Bama football great again. They were players that played way above their talent level. Of all the games I rewatch it’s from the 08-09 era. These guys signed with Bama when it wasn’t cool to sign with Bama.

Rolando was a 4 star recruit and rated something like the number 3 inside linebacker. He had offers from several other SEC schools

Derrick Henry. And Lane Kiffin still doesn't know what to do with him.

Minkah Fitzpatrick/Jonathan Allen left off. Lot of hardware between the two of them

Lane's strategy with Henry in 2014 was to run him until it was clear no one could stop him, then force it to Amari Cooper the rest of the game.

Its so hard to pick.

Hard to argue with your list as far as offense goes.

Really too many defensive players to list, but Anderson, Quinnen Williams, Dallas Turner, Hightower, Mosely, and McClain were probably the most dominant from the front 7.

We had so many good safeties and CBs come through, but Minkah, Eddie Jackson, Surtain, and Humphrey stick out.

I'll throw a nod to Levi Wallace. He was pretty shutdown in 2017, and walked on from the intermeral flag fball team. Was hardly looked at by anyone coming out of HS. To do what he did smack dab in the middle of Saban's run is about as impressive as it gets. THAT'S a football player.

Probably not the best but my favorite would have to be Jalen Hurts. What a story he was.

I also like Landon Dickerson. That baw was Bama through and through.

Still playing for the Broncos too.

Henry only had 172 caries in 2014. Less than half he had in 2015. Yeldon had more carries in 2014.

Julio or Henry is probably the best but bamas domination wasnt really centered around great players like lsu burrow or Clem Watson. Bama dominated by having good players at every position and excellent coaching staffs. Bama like to find your particular weakness and exploit it. It made it easy to force ppl into playing nicks game. You might have the slight edge at one position group but saban always had at least one big edge and several slight edges.

He held 7 D1 offers and not 1 was Texas Tech.

If we're talking "best" and not most likeable or best team player or whatever else, then I'd have to go with Bryce Young. His offensive line was pure frickin' garbage.

Dont'a Hightower. He anchored some incredibly mean and vicious defenses for us and then did the same for the Pats. In one of those early puff pieces about Saban and Alabama they showed him putting on his shoulder pads and saying "This is the first day of pads, it's when we find out who's here to be a student athlete and who's here to play football". When he said it I cringed and smiled at the same time.

Probably It's Henry.

But it's something that Kareem Jackson played in Saban's first year and he is still in the pro's.

As far college Barrett Jones being all-sec at 3 different o-line positions
