While OU did get the tougher schedule, they also have some great options for SEC road trips which is what makes college football so special imo.
Texas SEC road games
at Vanderbilt
at Arkansas
at Texas A&M
The atmosphere will be electric at the last two, and the ticket prices will be outrageous, but they have been there done that regarding these long time rivals. Nashville will be a fun road trip. Y'all can tell everyone that Austin has better music.
Oklahoma SEC road games
at Auburn
at Ole Miss
at Missouri
at LSU
Oklahoma fans are blessed and cursed with this schedule. Yes it is a much tougher schedule than Texas, but you have some great venues to check out this season. Auburn is a fantastic road trip and will be an electric environment. Missouri doesn't have the pomp and circumstance of the others, but I am sure the fans will be juiced for this re-kindling of a Big 8/12 foe that has one of it's most hyped teams coming into the season. Ole Miss and LSU are always at the top of the list of road trips to make and they do not disappoint. Oklahoma fans truly have some great road tripping options this season.
And there is the obvious neutral site Red River Shoot Out in Dallas every year that is now a Southeastern Conference game. It reminds me of the Cocktail Party in Jax. Great venue, great tradition.

OU fans have 4 great options
I have been to all of them and they are all great in different ways
LSU- best food and tailgating
Ole Miss- grove is a blast- lots of sites to see
Mizzou- cool fan base, cool college town
Auburn- friendly fans and it’s impressive with how loud it is with under 90K fans. The University RV park is awesome if you plan on taking a camper

Actually like Fayetteville and it’s close(r). Will trade for Columbia. Visiting our toothless cousins in BR should be fun. Minus Auburn they are all drivable, but LONG road trips.

A word to the wise for our new Oklahoma brothers. When traveling to Ole Miss, don't bother paying extra for the executive suites.

Might be time to mention that Oklahoma has had more Miss Americas than any other state in the SEC... and is tied for the most of all states...
Might also mention that when Playboy went on a nationwide hunt for their Silver Anniversary Playmate... they picked an OU coed...
Never mind all of country music chicks, and porn stars we have produced here.

As with most things in the SEC hillbilly bubble, they know nothing outside the SEC world and think everything in it is the best

I can't express how excited I am about baton rouge. Win or lose I can wait to experience the environment there...will be fun to see how it stacks up to the fair.

You couldn’t pay me to go to Fayetteville
Was thinking about Nashville but it was a little pricier than expected
Totally priced out of A&M. That is the priciest ticket of the year. In fact, Texas is in 3 of the 4 priciest ticket games of the season
As of now for away games, just planning on OU game which I go to every year

Oklahoma probably raised hell and demanded pur game be played in Norman as part of the deal. Effin overrated little scared punks just like Texas.

I am going to try to go to Ole Miss.
Doubt Missouri will be on most people’s destination list since we’ve played there a million times.

We have been staying at University Station for years. 650 lots and he expands every year. Great place to stay. Clean showers, laundry, food vendors, live band on Friday nights. Shuttle to stadium and back.
