Mount Rushmore of Alabama kickers?

I think the three obvious ones are Will Reichard, Phillip Doyle, and Van Tiffin. However, I think there is a decent debate about slot number four and that debate (at least in my opinion) comes down to Michael Proctor and Leigh Tiffin.
For the sake of diversity I would probably have it as:
1. Will Reichard
2. Phillip Doyle
3. Van Tiffin
4. Michael Proctor
ETA: Another reason why I think the criteria for the College Football Hall of Fame is outdated and needs to be changed, Reichard is the NCAA's all-time leading scorer but because he never received 1st Team All-America honors from any of the big publications he is ineligible for induction.

Leigh Tiffin and Peter Kim have to be considered.
It’s really just Reichard 4 times

Ryan Pflugner has to do the carving and move the rubble.

Leigh Tiffin got a bad rap for a few games in his freshman year, but his senior year, he was an absolute god. It was a shame he didn’t get the Groza award that year.

Leigh Tiffin over Proctor

Whatever the opposite of Mt. Rushmore is, I can quickly give you 4 that should go there.
Actually way more than 4

Cade Foster cost us a few games, including the Kick six if he makes a couple. 2013 is another National Championship if he makes maybe just one of those chip shots.

It’d just be a big pile off to the right…

I would put Leigh over his dad. He got a lot of shite for singlehandidly costing us the Arkansas game, but he was solid the next 3 years & damn near perfect his senior year.

That Arkansas game also helped us move on from Shula and get Saban. There were still people who genuinely wanted to keep Shula and another conference win in that year could’ve tipped the scales or helped with team momentum. If ever there was a year for a kicker to lose us a game to foster change, that was it.

If Pfugner gets that punishment, what is Foster doing? Cleaning the port-a-potties?

Yeah. Foster really really sucked. The thing with Pflugner is he gets the disadvantage of being the kicker during my formative years. Losing the Orange Bowl and missing the extra point vs Florida, getting bailed out by an offsides call, then nearly missing it again made me really dislike him as a 13 year old

I would not say he needs to be on the Mount Rushmore of Alabama kickers, but I really liked Jamie Christensen back in 2005.

Orange Bowl was Pflugner but he was actually out for that Florida game. I think he was suspended for a DUI or something. Chris Kemp was kicking in his place.

Well I’ll be damned. I could’ve sworn that was him. Are we sure he wasn’t drunk during the Orange Bowl too lol?
I was 13 back then. I remember the Orange Bowl and the Tim Rattay Hail Mary loss really made me lose my shite more than other losses for some reason

Quite possibly the biggest football douche I ever met in person back in college.
Also belongs nowhere near this discussion about best Bama kickers of all time

Yeah he was a really bad kicker tbh. Looked like a damn screwball coming off his foot. I’ve seen halftime student kicking competitions that looked better than his kicks.
Every kick he made was like he had a horseshoe up his arse.
