If ESPN would offer more per team to add Clemson and FSU they’d be offered a spot tomorrow.
Obviously they aren’t right now so they don’t have an offer.

ESPN would then be paying double for FSU/Clemson content. They'd have to pay their share to the ACC, then a second share to the SEC. Unless some antitrust shite comes out for the ACC and destroys it.

Sankey the idiot brought this on HIMSELF...i.e the B10's TV contract calls for escalator clauses as additional high porfile teams are added to the conference and ALSO for MORE conference games ! Sankey and hid 'brain-trust' did NOT negotiate for this PROBABILITY when signing with ESPN/disney ! Thus, the SEC gains ZERO additional dollars after the inclusion of OK/TX....AND also gets ZERO additional funds for a 9th and 10th conference game ! HOW the university presidents/AD's allowed this, is beyond comprehension ! Tens of millions of $ were left 'on the table'...and yet, the SEC office is never called out for this monumental BLUNDER !

Sankey’s abysmal negotiations surrounding adding OU and Utx should get him fired. Who exactly does he have to answer to regarding his job performance? Who has the power to fire him?

It's just an indisputable fact that these schools don't really bring in the TV numbers to justify it money wise.

Exactly. I’m glad they realize this instead of just trying to outdo another conference for bragging rights. No way we should take a cut in pay just to say we added them.

Nobody wants to include a$$holes like that in their conference. People who:
1. sign a deal
2. publicly b*tch and whine about it
2. then, when they are expected to uphold the agreement they signed, sue the conference.
It makes all the sense in the world that the B1G and SEC don't want any part of those clowns. And, speaking of that GOR, neither of the P2 conferences wanted FSU before they signed it, so why would they now?

I don’t really like the idea of adding them but I don’t think either conference can come out and say they want to add them even if they’re interested while they’re engaged in a lawsuit with the ACC. It could result in additional litigation against the BIG or SEC for tampering.
