I’m loving Kalen DeBoer’s fresh approach, a coach that truly “has the right stuff”

Jumbo Package: Kalen DeBoer speaks on his philosophy, importance of fun

Gentlemen, I really enjoyed reading this. My thoughts:

A compelling analysis emerges in this article. Since Nick Saban's retirement, there has been a growing chorus discussing Kalen DeBoer's innovative and contemporary coaching style. It seems evident, and perhaps relatable to many, that DeBoer recognized the need for a strategic shift in Tuscaloosa.

Many would argue that Alabama's most recent success was a mirage, fueled by a confluence of fortunate events that ultimately placed them in a precarious position to get embarrassed. Let's face it, the standard at Bama in the early to mid-2010s was dominance.

However, here Bama fans are in 2024, staring down the barrel of six seasons without a legitimate championship to celebrate. Legend around Tuscaloosa is that Bryant-Denny's legitimate championship banners were donning face masks for a year and a half, fearing the 2020 banner may spread the latest, mutated strand of what Tuscaloosa residents have donned "suck contagion".

It has become clear that Saban's approach, once invincible, had lost its effectiveness.

quote:

DeBoer said ‘I thought you would celebrate, run down the field.’ I said, ‘Coach, I was just worried about the next play.’ He said ‘well, I want you to celebrate. I want you to be excited. That was a really good pass.’

DeBoer's handling of Milroe is a breath of fresh air. We've all seen the highlights, the dazzling runs that leave defenders grasping at shadows. But let's be honest, bringing negative attention his pitiful passing, that's like yelling at a newborn to hold a spoon. Pointless.

I see DeBoer as a mama bear with a clipboard, celebrating Milroe's baby steps (pun intended, heh heh) like a first smile. Maybe Milroe won't ever sling lasers like the greats, but by building him up, not tearing him down, Milroe may even crack the top 70 in passing yards this year.

DeBoer's reign may not be a trophy haul, but Bama fans? Brace yourselves for a season of heartwarming growth spurts. Rest assured knowing DeBoer will celebrate every inch gained like a proud papa, trophies be damned.

You spend a lot of time thinking about Alabama. Alabama (or Alabama related topics) seem to be the primary focus of most of your posts.

If Alabama beats LSU, TN Tygah (who seems likely to be NFLSU) will go into hiding and disappear from this place for a while. He won’t be around to enjoy the bump.
