Been gone for a while doing military stuff, how has Alabama recruiting been fairing?

I have been out of sight and mind since mid-May. Surely DeBoer has continued to linger in mediocre territory on the recruiting front since I've been away.

Saban wasn't buying players ..
5 star Clinton dix got in trouble for bumming gas money to go home from an asst coach
5 star lb gets in trouble for bumming a used laptop
4 star mark ingram got in trouble for bumming a little fishing trip.
Au players all on salary since at least dye..boom..

Meanwhile, barn fans genuinely believe players only come to their one stoplight dump of a town because they just love Auburn so much.

Below the Saban expectations but the simple want to believe otherwise. They will change the narrative from what Saban did in an off year to attempt to convince each other that there is no drop off or lower expectations with an unproven guy that’s never recruited before.
The Bama name will get a couple of guys for a year or two but the Saban classes are not going to show up or stay.

DeBoer knows he was only able to win in Wahsington with a bunch of 23-year old covid players in their 6th year of eligibility, so he has a staff at Bama working around the clock forging birth certifiates so that the Tide can be the oldest team in CFB.

So these guys know that they are signing up to play for Kalen DeBoer, but they don’t actually plan to play for Kalen DeBoer?
That’s what is so stupid about this “It’s just the Bama name” argument. These guys know who they are signing up to play for. They know that Saban isn’t the head coach anymore. Sure, if DeBoer fails then recruiting will drop off, but if he’s the coach he appears to be at this point then guys will continue to sign up to play for him. If Saban had fallen off significantly and Alabama were losing 4 games a year, his recruiting would have fallen off despite the Bama name. If a coach wins, players will want to play for him. DeBoer has been a winner so far, and guys want to play for him. Sure, “Bama” is part of it, but the coaches are the guys who do the recruiting and coaching.

Deboer is in really good shape.
As long as Bama does well this season (top 5-7 or better in final standings), he's going to be golden. If recruits had taken a "wait and see" attitude, he'd have to to do work in November and December to get those guys after even after a great start.
But he's already got commits from them and it's much easier to hold those players after a good start than convince uncommitted guys after a good start.
The only way his class doesn't finish in the top 3-4 is if Bama REALLY underperforms (say goes 9-3 or worse). I honestly doubt that happens, I never really questioned Deboer's ability to coach a team. I wondered if he could recruit well.
The answer so far is... yes, he absolutely can recruit well.
