Has to be discussed: should UT win CWS, would they be SEC's all-time greatest?

If they win it, at worst, they'll finish 60-13. No other SEC team has ever won 60 games in a single season.
LSU's best season ever was in 1997 when they finished 57-13, winning the CWS.
Tennessee's on the brink of history here. I may not like a particular program, but I always give credit where it's due.
Pulling for the Aggies, but the Vols seem to be doing it. Have to high-5'em.
P.S. -- 1983 Texas Longhorns went 66-14, winning the CWS. However, they're not yet official SEC members until July 1st.

But Texas has to set the record going forward. Their earlier records are not SEC records.

Excellent thread. Go Vols. Hope we win.

How about they win a title first. It’s hard for me to anoint a First time National Champion the Best Ever.

Can you be the best ever while getting run ruled at home?

Alabama lost in the finals to both of those teams

The answer is no, and you should stop making threads, and go to a whatever they call the Big 10 now forum, with all your USC bullshite.

Pardon me, Missy....I'm a graduate of both UGA (undergrad) and USC (Master's). This gives me the right to root for both teams.
However, it's Bulldogs first -- by a long shot. I may have grown up being a USC Trojans fan, but where you end up getting your undergrad degree is what gets nailed into your heart more than the other.
Entender???

Might be the most successful season for an SEC team. Statistically not as good as our 2022 team, and no where near the programmatic successes of other schools.

I digress…and very impressive education you have, but holy shite, you make a lot of threads.

Playing more games does not equal greater

SEC fans do not do that. I too went to USC for my masters. I will never root for anyone but LSU.
In fact I’d argue you’re not a real fan at all since you didn’t grow up a UGA fan. I’d venture to say most weren’t until 2021.

How many national titles can you win in 1 year? He clearly stated best team ever for 1 season, not for entire history. And if the Vols do go 60-13, that will put them in the history books of the SEC all by them selves for most wins in a single season.

The sooner I make it to 10,000, the sooner I can retire from this retard board.
In the meantime...........
