Its not about just geography. Culturally y’all are about the same as Missouri going back to the Civil War

Go to any part of Kentucky except Louisville and northern Kentucky area mainly boone, kenton, and campbell county which is a cincinnati suburban area. Kentucky is just like rest of the south like Tennessee, Alabama, Arkansas, or Georgia. You are either ignorant or need to be educated about the great state of Kentucky.

Taking Kansas dilutes the revenue distribution from the SEC and increases travel costs for the conference teams.

Remember the joke years ago on here about the SEC taking UTEP?

That is more realistic than adding KU.

They are NOT a SEC school. I don't know why people come up with crazy notions. He'll, Mizzou ain't a Southern school. They are both Midwestern, big10 schools.

I don't think the big ten will take kansas. If the big ten were to expand there going to target southern states growing in population like florida, north carolina, virginia, or georgia.

Why did the B1G went after Nebraska?

I'll give some examples how southern Kentucky is

We love our barbecue Owensboro, Kentucky considered barbecue capital of the world also hosts the international barbecue festival.

Kentucky home to some great country music like bluegrass music if you heard of bluegrass musician Bill Monroe made the song blue moon of kentucky.

Kentucky is top five in growing and consuming tobacco

Number one in buying and consuming mountain dew.

There are 13 stars represent states that seceded but only eleven did on the confederate flag guess who is one of those states that's right Kentucky is one of them. Kentcuky sent representatives to the confederacy and had two governments during the civil war.

We know how to brew hard liquor moonshine and bourbon whiskey.

SO yeah were about as southern as you get. If still can't get it your in head just shows how ignorant you are.

Cause they were a bigger football brand than kansas. All this conference realignment is driven by football, money, tv markets, and who could draw the most tv viewers.

They’d really stick it to their little brother if they went to the Big 10. Mizzou couldn’t get the invite but Kansas could. Would be hilarious

Missouri did get an offer from the Big 10, but they were going to make them accept a lesser distribution for several years. Missouri rejected that in favor of a full distribution from day one in the SEC.

Missouri is a border state with hillbillies in the south/ozarks and midwesterners in the north. Kentucky is heavier on the hillbilly contingent.

It was a junior offer. Same as Nebraska.
