What's the significance of winning 10 games in a season?
Attaining 10-win seasons signifies sustained success, playoff contention, and enhanced recruiting appeal. These have done it the best! Congratulations!
This is through the 2023 season...........
1. Alabama - 44 (#1 nationally)
2. Oklahoma - 43 (#2 nationally)
3. Georgia - 28 (tied w/USC #5 nationally)
4. Texas - 25 (#10 nationally)
5. Tennessee - 21 (#12 nationally)
6. Florida, LSU - 15 (tied #15 nationally)
8. Auburn - 14 (#16 nationally)
9. Arkansas - 13 (#17 nationally)
10. Texas A&M - 12 (#20 nationally)

Not bad considering we took 15 years off and also had an iffy period pre Majors.

I’m not a huge fan of the 10+ win stat because it doesn’t factor SOS.
Boise State has 18 seasons of 10+ wins since 1996, yet you’d be hard-pressed to find 10 wins against ranked opponents during those 18 seasons.
I know I can remember a lot of 9 win seasons in Auburn history that included a schedule of 4-5 highly ranked opponents while there were some 10-win teams those same seasons who played just one or two such opponents.

I wasn’t aware we had that many. Does this include bowl wins?

A combined four of those happened across 44 seasons of SEC football.

And we actually have Oklahoma football fans on the rant who can't seem to grasp their consistent football greatness over the decades.
They are easily the second most decorated team when their feet hit the SEC.

I Know LSU lost a couple of 10 win seasons due to not playing the cupcake games because of Hurricanes. They just never got played.

Truly...this is most impressive, since football didn't exist in Florida until 1990.
