Also, Tennessee lost a game 14-0 that year.
Their bowl game, yes.

I'll shite on aTm as much as almost anyone, but this was back when the final AP Poll was done before the bowl games. A&M was the MNC winner in 1939.

I’ve noticed this is your fall back when you realize you don’t have a response.

Better luck next time, squirt

Nope. Because that never happened.

You are so f'iing stupid xwing. It did happen and is well documented.

USA Today

quote:

"They left," Dodds said of A&M, which left the Big 12 and joined the SEC in 2012. "They're the ones that decided not to play us. We get to decide when we play again. I think that's fair.

"If you did a survey of our fans about playing A&M, they don't want to. It's overwhelming. I know. I hear it. Our fans are important to us. I think there's got to be a period where things get different. I think there's too many hard feelings."

quote:

While Texas warned A&M about its move to the SEC ("Leave and this rivalry is over"), A&M has remained opened to the idea of meeting the Longhorns during non-conference play ("We'll play you anytime, you're the ones providing the rivalry's death blow and refusing to play").

ESPN

quote:

Texas athletics director DeLoss Dodds sent an email to his counterpart Bill Byrne at Texas A&M to let him know that Texas' nonconference schedule was full through 2018.

"In my e-mail to Bill Byrne, I wrote that we were not in a position now to look at future football scheduling," Dodds said. "We're scheduled out with nonconference games through 2018 and our Big 12 schedule is not yet settled. What we have right now is a full schedule but if any future options are available, the decision will not be made by just one person."

SBNation

quote:

“Their AD at the time came out and said we will never play Texas A&M again, and they worked along with Baylor and the conference to have no one in the (Big 12) schedule us,” Said Texas A&M Athletic Director Bill Byrne. “There were other forces at work to make sure we didn’t play.”

You really should try to at least post things that are true instead of making up stuff to fit your narrative.

Being a four-time loser on this board, you really do not have any credibility on this board anyway. Maybe you should just stick with the other donghorn fans on surlyhorns. They seem to be more your speed.

Can you explain what this is all about? I have asked you several times yet you either don't know what is going on at the school you claim to be a fan of or you are just dodging the question.

Not sure how well this type of program will fit in to the SEC.

That's a badass photo actually. Imagine watching CFB during that era in person. Would be kind of mind blowing.

Bowl games were literal exhibitions in those days. The AP National Title trophy had already been awarded to A&M.

I’d have picked 1939 New Orleans over 1939 Dallas too… Dallas was an outpost back then and New Orleans was twice its size.

Of course. Dealing with Texas fans is exhausting.

How come you never mention that in that 50 years, Aggy was put on probation for cheating? And not once, but twice??? So to have the best years of football in aggy history, cheating was involved. Nice Code of Honor y’all have. Also since SMU had received the death penalty a few years before, NCAA realized how bad a decision that was and let Aggy off easy.

He’s talking about the made up lie by the a&m administration that Texas asked other teams not to schedule a&m. That never happened. Nobody wanted to schedule you because you were too small time

Then Texas tried to schedule a&m in 2018 and yall declined because you were too scared (you should’ve been; while Texas was kicking arse in Tuscaloosa y’all were reeling off of losing to app state)

You got bullied into posting pics of your diploma online. Then you double doubled down and tried to convince people there were no homeless in Austin by posting selected pictures of downtown.

Spoiler alert! No one believed you.

This isn’t something your school did. Or your football team. You personally got embarrassed for being a douchenozzle.

I love how insecure you are. It gives me great joy!

Ah so the “our schedule is full” only works for the scared sips. Got it.

You idiots tried to broker a TV deal. Every other program capable of landing somewhere left that dumpster fire. The content on your network is complete shite and most people can’t watch it anyway since no streaming services will pick it up.

Once you were slumming it with the likes of Cincinnati (lol) and Kansas…who beat you twice, you decided to follow your daddy to the best conference in CFB.
