I’m not sure how many are “overrated” to be honest. They all seem to be somewhere between average and good now that Fisher is gone

Seven straight 10 win seasons, won the SEC West, is 1-1 vs Saban. Tenn. would love for any of its coaches to be this over rated.

Never won a title at the premier blue blood program.

Never even won a major bowl game.

Can I nominate Jimbo even though he is gone?

The barners are still waiting for Ole Miss's version of Hugh Freeze to show up. So far, he seems to be the continuation of Brian Harsin. So, if we go by numbers and success I nominate Hugh Freeze.

Hey dumbass. LSU won the west when JD was a mediocre quarterback.

Saban had 8 losses in his first two seasons at Alabama.

Again, how is Kelly "overrated?"

In 2007 Saban's Alabama was 7-6 with a very not good team. In his second year they were 12-0 and ranked #1 until Tebow/UF came from behind in the 4th quarter and beat them in the SECCG. In Saban's third year they won the national championship. That is not the trajectory of Kelly, unless he wins the natty this year. It's not a matter of being overrated, it's just that he hasn't shown (yet) that he's a championship coach.

You know damn well who I'm talking about.. Otherwise known as the grinder among recruiting circles I heard.
Unfortunately, you’re still going to have to be more specific.

They still beat you head to head.

Yeah, I don't think I said Alabama didn't beat UGA.

I said outside of MSU, Kentucky and some non P5s, they didn't beat anyone to a pulp.

Just so you know.

Posters are saying Kelly is overrated, but he has the second highest win percentage in the conference.

Make it make sense.

Because he can't win shite when it matters.

East has three top teams now: UGA Tennessee and Mizzou The rest are mediocre until they get a new coach or something. I guess Kentucky with stoops is a hit or miss. Sometimes they are pretty good actually. SC last year but couldn't repeat their success this year.

The East has one great team. UGA. Mizzou had a good team last season. Tennesse has 1 10 win season in the last 2 decades so I’d love to hear the metric that you’re using to rank the Vols as a “top team” lol

So the criteria for not being overrated is to win a NC ? Then saying 5 major college coaches have recently won NC's, that means all the others.....200-300+....are overrated? Seven straight 10 win seasons, in today's college football world, is significant. Saying otherwise just shows your bias against BK.

I just did. If LSU fans want to brag about a guy who has had 3 and 4 losses in the 2 years he's been at LSU, be my guest.

But if you question why people don't think that's a good coach, you're a fricking idiot.

Nobody is trying to claim those other 200-300 are great, so obviously they can't be over-rated.

Calling a coach that has lost 7 games over the past 2 years, which is also the average for his career great is.

Oh here come the delusional T fans. Haven't won anything in like 20 years, yet still think they have Peyton (a Louisiana native!) playing for them.

It's hard to root for TN with all those big headed fans living in the past. Y'all ain't shite even in the hot garbage East man. Good luck.

Posters on this board insist that the guy with the second highest win percentage in the conference "isn't a good coach" and is "overrated."

Make it make sense.

What fans see is a guy who has been at places that draw outstanding talent and has been a head coach for a long period of time. So far he's been the John Cooper of second bananas. He has to own it at this point and do better.
