People are missing the point. It isn't that A&M won an SEC title, it was that week in and week out A&M was in Tuscaloosa or Baton Rouge or hosting Florida or maybe UT while tu was playing in Ames f'ing Iowa or in a stadium that held less than 60K fans.

Their home schedules were horrendous in the depleted Big XII.

I don’t remember the Aggies doing anything in the Big 12. And they sure haven’t done anything except totally embarrass the SEC since buying their way into the conference

If an SEC schedule is so hard for the Aggies maybe they should look around for another conference.

i will happily admit to being jealous of TAMU's home slate of games.

hard not to be when our "marquee" home game every year was either Texas Tech or TCU.

Can’t wait for the Chip Long articles on how Texas is trying to save the SEC and/or SEC-network. I used to like Texas before Conference expansion exposed their arrogant, hypocritical virtue signaling culture.

Exactly. Well put.

Kind of like your president has totally embarrassed the USA? Are you going to campaign for him again this time around?

Finebaum said "success," not playing a more interesting schedule.

A&M got their 1 Big 12 title in football when there was still a couple of years left in the Clinton administration.

I would be very interested in the honest opinion of an Aggie on this one. What success is Paul talking about?

SEC Football title? No
SEC division title? No

None of this makes sense.

The only thing that makes sense is if he were defining "success" by the checks A&M was cashing from the SEC TV contract.

I live in Texas and you can't honestly say that Texas hasn't been extremely envious of A&M since they joined the SEC in 2012. Texas was in the dumpster from about 2012 until a year or so ago due to bad coaching hires with Strong and Herman. Herman was especially embarrassing for the Texas program. Everyone was talking about A&M and all of the big games they were taking part of. Playing teams like Florida, Bama, LSU, Auburn, Tennessee, etc. all the while Texas was playing stinkers like Kansas, Iowa Stare, etc. AND losing to them. So, yes, I agree with Finebaum that Texas was jealous of A&M.

You can’t honestly say that you enjoyed having Tech or TCU as your biggest home game every year. Why else did you think they scheduled LSU and Alabama these last few years? Because no one in Austin gave a shite about you playing Kansas, Kansas State or Iowa State at home every year

Somehow I doubt Texas has had even a moment of jealousy of the Aggies.
We’ve never once been jealous of Aggy. Mostly because they’ve never given us any reason to be. Now, I am jealous of the sustained success Bama & you guys have had recently.
