got some good friends who live in Spokane, would love to visit them someday
that said, the homeless problem is a huge thing in pretty much every metro area in the PNW
got a family member in Eugene OR, says its not the ones begging for change that are the problem, its the ones who pitch tents on the sidewalks and scream at passersby that get to you after awhile

I would never step a foot into that liberal shite hole.

pretty bad city
It does have a crazy crime rate for a city it's size.
1 in 16 chance of being a victim of violent or property crime. The latter skews its ranking heavily. 95 percentile nationally for property crime (national avg is 35) and slightly above the average for violent crimes. It's like the B'Ham of the Pacific NW (only with MUCH lower violent crime rate), who knew? The AL teams should feel right at home.

I'd wager they are fairly conservative in Spokane. Seattle/Tacoma is a different story entirely

True. Maybe Nitro will feel better knowing that Trump won Spokane Co in 2020.

Too bad we could not have Samford share a ride with us, UA, and UAB out to Spokane to cut down on our charter cost for the travel. The committee must have been reminded of trying to place Samford at a reduced mileage site, which they clearly ignored for the rest of the Alabama teams in the tournament. Makes no sense.

Selection committee showed lots of love for the teams in Alabama.
4 seed North Carolina has to make the trip to Charlotte, NC.

If you go there...be sure to try some of the Kokanee Beer. If you have the time...drive East a little bit and hit Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and on the way you can have awesome Mediterranean food at The White House Grill in Post Falls, ID.

My mistake. . Since Tennessee got bounced to a 2 seed after losing in the tournament I thought the same would be applied to North Carolina for their showing in the ACC tournament.

With a statement like that, I guess you haven't spent much time in Idaho.
ETA...if you've been to Spokane...you'd know it's much closer aligned with Idaho than it is with the State of Washington. Look up the " State of Lincoln" sometime...and where it originated. In a Nutshell...Spokane wanted to create a new state which included Eastern Washington, Eastern Oregon and Northern Idaho. It's often referred to now at "Greater Idaho".

Its a very weird city. It looks nothing like you expect Washington State to look. More like Kansas

Spokane is a shite hole that has only gotten worse these past few years. Anybody who says otherwise has not been to Spokane.

It’s a liberal city in a liberal state overrun by “progressive” policies. That should tell you everything about the place.

The "Liberal City" voted:
Trump over Biden - 2020 (50.29% for Trump)

Romney over Obama - 2012 (51.07% for Romney)
McCain over Obama - 2008 (49.01% for McCain *3% for other party)
GW Bush over Kerry - 2004 (55.09% for Bush)
GW Bush over Gore - 2000 (51.88% for Bush)
In every election in this century, Spokane County has supported the GOP candidate over the Democrat.

Spokane is not Spokane county.
Eastern Washington is very conservative and Spokane is right on the boarder with north Idaho (extremely conservative). Spokane it's self is liberal. The area outside the city, (still in Spokane County) is conservative.
