“ The Big Ten and SEC are reportedly seeking to split 58% of the base revenue, while the Big 12 and ACC would be given 32% to share, leaving 10% for Notre Dame and the rest of the conferences.”
Which ever MORON from CFP that proposed it would be a good idea to give Notre Dame 10% of total revenue split needs to be fired IMMEDIATELY !!!!!

I didn’t read the rest lol. But guarantee ND will be making half of that 10%. And getting a SWEETHEART DEAL.
29% for SEC
1.8% per SEC team
ND would be getting 5% which 3x amount each SEC team would get

Yeah but wouldn't only one other conference/team be eligible to participate? So ND would get 5% to itself? Am I wrong on that?

Unfortunately the SEC and Big Ten are going to ruin the baesball tournament and hoops tourney for the sake of football.

if notre dame doesn't make it do they receive revenue still?

Imagine being an Aggy, lucky for those sods that they had oil in the ground. What a bunch of dipshits.
This is a strong-arm move by the B1G and SEC to force Notre Dame to join a conference and to destroy the ACC. Then nothing stands in their way.

By this logic you're saying only the group of 5 team that makes the playoff gets a cut. If that's the case, then only the B1G/SEC teams that make the playoff would get a cut. So if 3 sec teams make the playoff, 29%/3 = 9.4%/team.
This logic is wrong, all teams from all conferences get a cut, the teams that actually make it will get a bigger cut than the rest of their conference members, but still all teams get a cut. So Notre dame will be splitting 10% with like 64 teams. I'm sure they'll negotiate getting roughly the same that teams from the B1G/SEC or maybe teams from the ACC/B12 get, but it certainly won't be more.

No, I'm saying that Group of 5 team's conference would get a cut, as would all of the other conferences who get at least one team in, while ND would get 5% to itself.

Maybe this is correct, but I fail to see why a conference that doesn't have a team in the CFP should get a cut at all.

I wonder how that will break down.
Que mental image of a fat Notre Dame at the table, eating 9.9% while dumping scraps at the poor G5 schools to fight over that .1%.

This past season the CFP made $850,000,000.
So that would have been about $15 million per team. Obviously in 2 years and with so many more teams/rounds I think it’s reasonable to guess the CFP could be work $1.5 billion+ per year in 25-26 with the alleged 14 teams…giving each SEC team about $25 million.

I read somewhere that notre dame would get 1%.

Yea we’re seeing CFB being ruined before our very eyes. This will inevitably lead to SEC and Big 10 becoming more and more dominant until eventually the other conferences will have no choice but to join them to catch up revenue wise. Gonna be like NFL. Greed is killing college football.
