College football no longer exists.

It's been replaced with minor league pro football.

Within 5 or 10 years, fans will have the same passion for minor league pro football as they do for minor league pro baseball and minor league pro basketball.

Are the LSU fans that are screaming about Saban cheating so much forgetting he coached at LSU before he did at Alabama? And that Les Miles inherited Saban’s program and seemed to do a good job keeping the trains running on time for a decade?

ETA: “tans” corrected to “fans”. What kind of twisted a-hole put the t key adjacent to the f key on the keyboard ?

If everyone knew about all this wide spread blatant cheating, why weren’t boosters, universities and disgruntled players constantly turning in their rivals or their former schools?

They certainly weren’t above it. Tennessee snitched on Alabama. Mississippi State snitched on Ole Miss. Saban publicly called out A&M. Eric Ramsey turned in Auburn. Sean Stopperich destroyed the SMU program. Logan Young was murdered over it. There are other examples I am leaving out as well. So we know it did happen.

If all this cheating was so well known and well documented, why didn’t more boosters destroy their rivals this way? We have seen they will pay players hundreds of thousands if not millions of dollars in NIL. Why did those same guys not pay some private detectives $100,000 to dig up some dirt, bribe the right people here and there for indisputable proof, and absolutely bury their opponents?

thought we could have a hell of a team next year, and then maybe 70 or 80 percent of the players you talk to, all they want to know is two things:

Saban buyout under last contract- $43.2 million. Isn’t this an assurance to make sure you feel secure as a HC?

quote:

and how much are you going to pay me?

Alabama's board of trustees approved a one-year extension and a raise for Saban during a meeting on Tuesday. The amended deal runs through February 2030 and will pay him an average of $11.7 million per year.

So let me see if I understand this? Its ok for Saban to ask his boss for a raise every year, or before his contract is up and have certain built in assurances, but it’s not ok for his players to do the same thing? Sounds like a Hypocrite/Narcissist to me.

Saban gets raise

Operating with low honesty or self-awareness, narcissists tend to have multiple, persistent contradictions as they project themselves in ways that are not at all consistent with their true character. Maintaining a “better than thou” image is so important to narcissists that their public portrayals of themselves are phony.

This is why Saban was a poor coach in the NFL. He didn’t have the control in the NFL like he did in college, and his old arse ran before he started failing like he did in the NFL.

Do you think Nick Saban was picking up the phone every year asking for a raise? Or do you think maybe it was his agent Jimmy Sexton doing the calling and negotiating?

Do you think Josh Heupel is the one that picked up the phone last year when Tennessee doubled his annual salary? Or do you think it was his agent that was calling and negotiating?

the Bear (who really started this mess)

Truth hurts, doesn't it? Bear was known for two things:

1 - Recruiting an enormous number of players - more than he could ever play. This was more to keep good players away from other teams than anything else. It's also the reason that the scholarship limits were enacted to prevent "player hoarding".

2 - He was also known for paying players to get them (and keep them) at Bama - and away from other teams.

So, yeah, the Bear started this mess. To be fair, I'm an LSU/SEC wonk, so I don't know much of anything about other conferences. So I wouldn't be surprised if teams in the former Big 10 had the same complaints about Michigan or tOSU, or Big 12 and Nebraska/Oklahoma.

But, as for the SEC, the Bear and his "team management" practices are definitely the reason for most of the mess we're now seeing.

Imagine children being in charge at their daycare. That's what college sports has become.

Dude what a baby back shortman syndrome Napoleon complex bitch. Good riddance. Dude isn’t a GOAT. He got escorted out at the highest level quickly. He quit on the Dolphins. Once competition became legitimate in college, he quit. And this is the kind of guy who would manipulate players by ragging on them for “quitting.” I just gained an entirely new level of disrespect for Little Nicky.

Edit: Look at this spineless bitch. A 13 year old could kick this dude’s arse at Sonic He’s the kind of guy who is gonna bitch he didn’t get a side of fries, but when making fries becomes competitive he backs out of the fry market. Now we have to listen to this little shitling on ESPN, this 0 personality hairplug dipshit?

Edit: Sigh Nick button the second button. You’re not Scarface and you’re certainly not picking up any arse. Guy just screams douchebag 3/4s life crisis.

Bryant hasn't coached in over 40 years, yet he started this.

Also, you're old AF.

So did Saban pay players at LSU like you say he did at Alabama? It was a pretty dramatic turnaround for LSU football. And if so, did Les Miles suddenly stop when he arrived?

I dont blame Saban for retiring one bit. Who would want to deal with all that? You are the GOAT and you have 20 year olds demanding playing time and pay raises to stay

Do you remember when Ole Miss got exposed for paying recruits live during the NFL draft? That was spellbinding television that night. That story ended up being a much bigger story than the actual draft. They even did a multi-part series on it. Cost people jobs. Cost Ole Miss wins and scholarships. Cost prostitutes in north Mississippi and Memphis a ton of money. Set the whole Ole Miss football program back years. It was amazing to watch it unfold live on national tv.

Depe breath? Someone must be a slow typer. Took all but 30 seconds to type that out looks like I struck a chord! Also, tell this to Nick:
