Three gifs that sum up how I felt watching the Auburn game last night. Congrats to Auburn on that arse whipping.

It's one game. Auburn is good and at home they are very good and tough. We ran into a perfect storm last night and they played lights out. Win the next one and keep moving forward. Oh, and congrats to Auburn for the clinic they put on last night!

It was a mauling I say. A mauling. I knew after the first 10 minutes when they were draining 3's it was going to be a long night for the cocks.

How they respond to LSU on Saturday will be huge.

A road loss to a great home team.

You’ve got a great team. Play on.

You guys are solid and well-coached.

Asswhoopins happen...there's no asterisk by the loss. You guys will be fine.

After being cold as ice against Florida, we shoot 61% from three-point range last night and our All-Star Center goes three for four from behind the arc. Go figure. What a wacky season.

last night was hard to watch - Carolina has enough leadership to keep it in perspective for what they want to accomplish - a share of the SEC title is still within reason - NCAAT aspirations as well -

Auburn had a cathartic performance after their dud in Gainesville the game prior - perfect storm for their unbelievable effort/determination to beat USC - Tigers are the most dangerous team in the SEC with their depth -

meanwhile, a native Sandlapper and successful current SunBelt HC just resigned this morning to come home to Carolina and join the Gamecock football staff -

Really!??!? What position?

I've always like Shawn Elliott. I understand why we didn't but I always thought we should have hired him after his stint as interim.

Definitely has the feeling of this..

@GamecockCentral
??BREAKING?? Georgia State head coach Shawn Elliott is resigning and is expected to be named new South Carolina run game coordinator and tight ends coach, sources tell
@GamecockCentral

.
Shawn's family has remained in Columbia the entire time he's been HC in Atlanta -

I'd heard a few rumblings he wanted to come home before now - it's gonna help on multiple levels with the offense -

Well that's encouraging to hear. Glad we were able to lock him in.

I'm hoping that Shaw brings some of his run concepts with him to help our anemic running game.

Also, I thought one of Pete Limbo's best attributes on the staff was his pervious experience as head coach, and that's why his departure (potentially) hurt so much. I think that's another void filled by the addition of Coach Elliot. This is a good hire.

I think you can expect a lot - if not all - of what you said to happen Lonnie - especially the run/blocking concepts Lattimore - and later Mike Davis - thrived with - Elliott will certainly help out with Lembo taking a HC job -

Shawn & Shane overlapped 1 season on Spurrier's staff - 2010 - so they've both coached in Atlanta first weekend of December in Garnet & Black
