I’m still not even sure what the hell the Vols Are alleged to have done?

Spyre flew him on a jet to Knoxville to discuss NIL opportunities. NCAA big mad because they think he was flown out solely for recruiting trips.

The NCAA appears to want to make rules, and apply them retroactively.
Kind of like a Bama national championship. They were applied retroactively, but they don't mean anythng.

Probably not. He likely had a Spyre rep with him on the plane.

I thought the rule was that it couldn't be even a little bit about recruiting? As in the two have to be mutually exclusive. Who knows.

Their office is in Knoxville. They can’t control where he goes after he leaves their office.

The NCAA is showing Tennessee who the real UT is.

If the NCAA can go back retroactively on NIL. When they had no rules and the courts said pay the players. Which was setup by a 3rd party Sypre Sport. They can go after every University. Law suits will end the NCAA.

I don’t think it’s even about retroactively applying rules. Spyre would’ve never been able to fly Nico out for a recruiting trip. If he was there to talk business and planned to visit UT during the trip, then there’s nothing wrong there.
Good luck proving he wasn’t flown out for NIL negotiations.

The sword of Damocles is over your head and all you can think about is Bama's championships.

Unlike many who think the NCAA is already toothless,
I'm thinking this is the case where the NCAA
draws the line in the sand , attempts to
show who's boss. UT is already on 5-years probation.

NCAA loses every single case in court. They’d be stupid to try.

Nothing, the NCAA is mad they can’t control NIL and are trying to exert authority over an issue that is uncontrollable much like the portal

His deal was supposedly 2 million a year per year for 4 years. That’s where the original 8 million was coming from.
And he’s earning it. You can’t watch local TV or listen to local sports radio without one of his commercials.
