What you’re failing to reconcile, your savior Saban’s last act as Alabama head coach was to frick yall royally. He knew his retirement would do exactly what it did that yall are now wailing about being so unfair.

This is a twisted point of view.
This isn't due to some rule. This is due to one man's ego. One man who could not or would not announce retirement until the last minute. Just another in his long line of ego driven control issues. That man is to blame for this and not some rule.
It isn't like Bama is sitting there with no options either. You just refuse to acknowledge the inability Bama has currently to keep the players on its roster. You also refuse to acknowledge your chance at the portal later.
Kids leaving is no one's fault but Bama. Same as it was for LSU back then. LSU had a chance to plug holes later. So will Bama. Situation is the same. Difference is...now it is your time to cry about it. Be a man. Stop crying.
