Tygart needs to shove tonight. We need at least six solid innings out of him. State isn't going away quietly.

Yeah Diggs' shoulder issue is not great. I think the goal now is to try and do whatever to get him ready for postseason. Several games off.

Yeah, save for a situational PH like last night, I wouldn’t be surprised if we sit Diggs until Hoover or the regional. DVH said in his postgame press conference that Diggs asked to play but they’re just trying to give him as much rest as possible to heal up his shoulder (+keep him from exacerbating it in the field).

The bad thing about Diggs sitting is that we’ll likely see more Wilmsmeyer. Personally, I’d rather keep giving Jones a shot and platoon Edmunson and Lovich at the other corner OF spot.

I’ve said this ad nauseum, but Wilmsmeyer is nothing more than a late game defensive sub. He hasn’t had a hit in an SEC game since game 3 of the Ole Miss series back on April 6th and is 0 for his last 25. He’s slashing .150 / .239 / .167 in conference play, which is worse than both John Bolton and Parker Rowland last year.

I don’t disagree about Ty. He’s awful.

I wanna say Phil said Edmunson is in a horrific slump right now as well. Lovich might not be quite as bad. But he’s also made 2 crucial errors in LF this year that have been costly in our series losses.

Surprised to see Diggs back in the lineup (and the field) given DVH’s comments this week.

Glad to see we’re trying to bring up Stovall with potential runners on base as opposed to flipping the lineup.

Not surprised (but am glad) to see Wilmsmeyer on the bench, but hold on to your butts with Lovich because he’s an adventure in the field.

Hoping Souza shows us something. He’s quietly slumping and batting .096 in SEC play since the Ole Miss series, so here’s hoping he can get going again and be more disciplined at the plate.

Edit - damn, Ultimate beat me by a few seconds

Diggs at leadoff is an idea

I'd rather see Jones again than Lovich.

Swapping so much is brutal for any timing or rhythm he's going to have to settle on someone pretty soon regularly.

Nobody can throw a strike anymore. Awesome. Definitely needed that.

Bybee next week at A&M game 3. No choice.

Or Wood for 3-4 into Bybee.

Tygart needs to go to the back of the bullpen.

This.

His command is almost nonexistent at this point.

Issues too many walks and hits too many batters.

Never really been that impressed with Bybee either TBH. He seems like he’s gotten hit quite a bit at times even in midweek games

Our pitchers have thrown 110 pitches thus far in 4 innings.

We've walked 18 batters so far in 13 innings in this series.

Give MSU props, their approach and plate discipline has been incredible. They know we're inefficient, they're taking a lot, and they're making us put it over the plate.

Good lord we suck right now. Surely Dave knows we need to go a new direction offensively.

I bet Wood starts next week. Seems like a good bet since he almost did this weekend and Tygart's time is up.

For some reason us A&M UK faltering a bit late in the year.

OM going for sweep of ATM tomorrow, UF drilled UK for rubber game and we're in a rubber game.

No one is playing particularly well right now.

Tennessee is, though they’ve arguably been the best team in the SEC all year.

Yeah and their last 2 series are Missouri and UF who are not very good to bad and Vandy is in the gutter right now.
