Boosters and donors only have a finite amount of money that they are able/willing to give. Traditionally, this money went to facilities upgrades and improvements. We’ve all seen the waterfalls, slides and gold-plated weight rooms. Players are sucking up that money at a rapid rate. Something has to give.

Pretty soon if not already

Not a huge deal, NFL facilities are nowhere near college level as it is.

The schools that recently upgraded right before NIL will be at a slight advantage there bc I still think it will matter.

The Facilities arms race really got out of hand. Now NIL will get out of hand instead. Good observation.

Kiffin stopped Ole Miss from making stadium upgrades and had that money redirected to NIL. Facilities don't mean shite anymore. Players want money.

Coach’s pay will only escalate, so if NIL continues down its current path, the facilities will definitely suffer or ticket prices will have be set at levels that makes attendance exclusive to the affluent. The dynamic will probably be a little of both.

LSU's Tiger stadium and it's services are way ahead of you.

Everybody now throwing in a $20 spot for NIL collective - just bleeding the common folk slowly so you can win. It’s frees up money for facilities.

They will only keep getting crazier and crazier too. Rate cuts expected this year in financial markets , Inflation back under control. Wealth gap will only grow and grow and donors and boosters will raise more money to make improvements.

Psh absolutely nothing will suffer, everyday fans will just sign up for donation subscriptions & that’ll cover the difference.

Maybe for poor schools like LSU and Ole Miss but not at A&M.

Already has happened. Lane asked the administration a couple years ago to hold off on our stadium renovation and put the money towards NIL instead.

The first phase was gonna be to demolish one side, and rebuild it along with changes to the north endzone.

Although, I've heard we received a significant donation to get this project back on track.

NIL.

Wasn’t it supposed to be so athletes could make money on their “name, image, and likeness”

You know, royalties from jersey sales, video games, sponsorships.

This shite has essentially turned into welfare for athletes.

Taxes pay their tuition. Fools pay to have their money distributed amongst the athletes.

Wonder how much the university “transactions fees” amount to per dollar “donated” to the needy athletes

And now coaches are demanding boosters normal donations be put into the welfare pool to pay players.

What a totalfricking shite show.

Players are making millions. They don't care about facilities
