Bama fans don’t understand how this works

It’s been awhile since they were involved in this.
Sexton put feelers out everywhere. Bama wanted Sark.
Sark was offered the job. Turned it down after Sexton leveraged Texas for more money for him to stay.
Kirby was called. Not interested.
Lane was called. Not interested.
Norvell was called. Probably got wishy washy on leaving so they moved on.
DeBoer was called. Washington can’t match what Bama offered. DeBoer is the next coach of the Tide. Good hire but the AD will always say publicly that he was the first choice even when the world knows he was at best 4th on their list.

HMMMMM lane would have walked barefoot on broken glass from Oxford to Tuscaloosa for Bama job. I do think Sark was 1st choice. But damn Coach just played for a NC. So we are good.

Well, everyone else said no. This was the best they could do.
He'll be gone in three years, so it's not a big deal anyway. And he'll have saban looking over his shoulder to tell him when he does something stupid.
All is well.

I better never hear Gimmick Offense from them again. They just hired a pure Air Raid coach.

Except this is from UW side

If DeBoer's deal with Alabama is finalized, Huskies appear ready.

Saban retired Wednesday and yet UW was already looking to replace him on Wednesday. Sounds like he was UA's 1st choice but like Sexton always does he leveraged other clients of his to help get them a raise before DeBoer could finalize and it became public.
Either the melt and fear coming from other fans is very enjoyable. So keep up the hard work and come of your delusional world once in a while.

Glad they didn't offer Kiffen. He would be dangerous at bama.

Sark possibly.
Kirby, sure they already knew he's set at UGA.
Norvell and Kiffin doubtful.
Probably allowed some names of interest like Lanning etc to "leak" but Byrne wasn't going to hire a coach in his 30s for the pressure of taking over for Saban.
DeBoer.

We put more stock in what Chris Low says than some fricktard on a message board.
'DeBoer had emerged as the Crimson Tide's top target even before three other possible candidates, Oregon's Dan Lanning, Florida State's Mike Norvell and Texas' Steve Sarkisian, withdrew from the search and affirmed their commitments to their current schools over the past two days."
